I never knew that was a place.. but a bloke I used to work with had the surname Retallick! How long has this mother and baby thing been going?! 😮

Didn’t think to ask, I expect several hundred thousand years as a guess.:diablo:

Well it certainly doesn’t make him an atheist. So, if he goes to church and is none of those you mentioned, what is he?

..a well disiplined VC, yeah, get some!, get some!…….oh….Full metal jacket……which brings us neatly ‘back on thread’

One of mine is a Breda 7.92mm machine gun in an anti-aircraft mode dated 1939.

Another is a dug .303 browning from a Spitfire.

    Bren

    Sten

    Luger

    Colt .45 semi

    Lee Enfield .303

Maxim machine gun on wheels (starred in film Starlingrad)

No2 Mk II pick-axe handle (as issued to RAF early 70s)

And for bungalow defence I have a rolled up Radio & TV times and a Maine coon cat.

I can imagine down the line,

“Oh, he’s a little darling, what’s his name?”

    “Hispano”

    “Browning”

    “Merlin” (take your pick)

    “Where was he born?”

“In a field at Retallick, during a ‘Mother and baby event'”………

I pretty much lost the will to do aeros in a large aircraft after we lost one of our Nimrods at the end of a display in Canada, after a wing over at low level.

No, as much as I love aeros in Grobs and Bulldogs, I only like watching DC4s aerobatting with my feet firmly on the ground.

    Nice display by the way.
