Get use of a car and learn to not have the instructor there. Practice endlessly. Build that motor program until it is engrained. Above all, think for yourself.

Before anyone baulks at this, solo flying time is an important part of the PPL and should be ported in some form to driving imho.

I didn’t think that was legal, driving on your own with a provisional licence, you won’t be insured for starters.

I am interested in the fact that after the publicity a few weeks ago concerning the lack of prison capacity we are suddenly likely to need to conjure a thousand places. My guess is that the prisons are full and that there will be cell sharing and the attendant fury and indignation felt by the incumbents will be taken out on the “new arrivals” thus ensuring they get the punishment they deserve. Funny old place, prison, sometimes!:dev2:

    You speak from experience?

Yes, exactly the same thought occurred to me when I watched it; possibly these are hand-reared orphaned cheetahs?

I don’t think cheetahs will tolerate another cheetah on their ‘patch’ in the wild (unless they are a female plus cubs).

It was interesting that when one of the cheetahs made a ‘mock’ attack the woman turned and ran back a few paces; I’d have thought that would be exactly the worst thing you could do under the circumstances (but what the hell do I know :))!

I’ve a feeling these are ‘rescued’ cats, when she takes her shoe off and holds it up, she had their undivided attention for a few moments and they all surge fowards as if it was food being handed out. So I reckon wild and she was invoking a reaction by her actions for the camera. (She was quite cute by the way!)

The runway was rebuilt 1988 followed soon after by the HAS and I recall 89 through to 90. So they won’t be in the period of your scenery time frame.

There are a couple of red brick buildings on Treblezue, one 400yds to the south west of the old tower was a cricket pavillion/photo club, another 100yds further on was the TACAN building with aerial.

The British bomb bump was WNW approx 250yds and the red brick building was the control point.

All these buildings were in use 1985.
