[pedant]Surely then it was a twin pneumatic button, not the single button that Baz is thinking of?[/pedant] 🙂

You are right (of course) I’ve been waiting for (that) red buttoned Spitfire grip that was discussed recently on the forum to show up on ebay. I just saw Spitfire grip and got a bit over excited (!), however, I’ve taken some tablets and now chilling out.:o

    sorry

There has for as long as I can remember been a bone of contention regarding the fact that teachers earned more than the average Police Officer. and thats a fact, not science fiction.

I think thats down to the dangerous nature of teaching and working with kids as opposed to eating donuts and harrassing motorists………………;)

I’m not a spotter, however, over the years working at Plymouth Airport and RAF St Mawgan I recognised the value that spotters brought these airfields. At St Mawgan I would often drive out and let the guys know of inbounds (or long breaks!) and when there was a rare aeroplane on the dispersal, take the spotters camera and get some shots of it. Every now and then, rescue the odd spotter that had fallen off the Cornish stone wall into the airfields brambles and stinging nettles(!).
I found after a while that the local spotters would ‘police’ the outsiders and if suspicious let me know what the problem was.
The airport authorities in this case should try and work alongside these spotters and not target them, if I worked there, instead of repeatedly repairing the fence and making a fuss, I would put small purpose built camera holes in the fence, problem solved.

    just my thoughts

….and perhaps the self righteous who post here might think before passing judgement.

    On a ‘Spitfire’ forum? you’re kidding….

I’m letting it ride for the time being,

….good man…its also for charity and an ATC Squadron to boot.

We would not have got to see the (excellent) photos gingerboy put up of this very nice cockpit.

    cheers

    That Mk1 Spitfire Propeller
    .

I wonder how Christies feel about him taking their name in vain?

aaah, he doesn’t (or rather she with a name of Emily! Pay attention at the back!) She has cunningly spelt Christies wrong so, could say it was a different ‘Cristies’. Anyway, it also says no timewasters, so with no plane spotters as well, thats the entire forum out:diablo:
