    Been there, too right!

I would guess the Argentinians would garrison the Island a lot heavier than ’82.
I remember a sub badly parked in the bay and a wrecked (Wessex ?) up a mountain, anyone know if they’re still there?

I can’t recall an area that would be suitable with the prevailing winds that an airbase could be easily constructed.
Unless you’re thinking outside the box.

Have to say, the proof is in the pudding.

We’ve just had several cockpits go through without selling, some were priced to sell and I thought reasonable. The Bucc cockpit in particular was very cheap and still no one bought it.

Is it because there’s still no money around for museums to go for them or they’re just not sexy enough? Are there so many cockpits extant in the UK, people have become choosey about what or what not to buy?

Are the privateers waiting for more exotics to come up on the market, or has the market ‘peaked’?

I am very happy to watch Top Gear if its good.

The problem has been that for the last how many years it has been dull, repetitive trash TV.

Yet the drivelling sycophants that make up the audience, and many others, seemed to accept it uncritically.

I’ll catch it on iPlayer or whatever

I refer to my previous post #3!:D

takes me back to the woman that protested about concordes noise going into JFK

We used to get the Concorde double boom in Cornwall 9pm every evening. On ‘quiet’ evenings we would sit outside to listen to it. One evening it stopped and we never heard it again, sometime later in the local rag in the letters column, someone asked why. The following week this was answered by a gentleman in St Ives who admitted gleefully it was him. He had complained to the council, who had followed it up. Concorde could only travel supersonic once it had passed Cornwall, so the joy of our window rattling was lost forever:(

What I’m trying to say here, sadly, it only takes one complaint for a knee-jerk reaction.
