At least the pilots ‘sit up front’ the cabin crew seem to prefer the lavatory!

Yes but for others it is just a pilgrimage and the sole purpose of their visit. Surely Aer Lingus could pack an A330 each week? I once visited Fatima where those schoolchildren once saw a vision of ‘Our Lady’ and it was packed!

Also I dont think many ex UK visitors are well-enough or young enough to undergo a long coach journey from the UK. Yes the aircraft would be full of wheelchairs, walking sticks and pill bags but have you ever took a winter flight to Alicante? Thats just the same!

I do not want to be shopping for my in-flight lunch at the airport. I only just have enough time to buy me chocolate, sweets and magazines for the journey and eating a breakfast or lunch at the airport. I want in on the plane and I want it gratis!

I cant believe there arent any regular flight from the UK into Lourdes/Tarbes. Many thousands visit each year from the UK and DanAir made a go of it for years!

Why is the airport neglected when other small French airports like Carcassonne is served. A no-frills or full-frills airline should hop on to the route, it would be a license to print money!

Congratulations and what a majestic plane the IL62 is. Are there any left with Cubana? I wish I had took one when they operated STN-Havana!

Looking back, I dont know how I got away with it but I did! My mum is not a lady to be messed with and stood her ground with the school. I even went to Senegal for a fortnight missing several OLevel exams. I still think the experiences of my time in Africa are worth more than a certificate and taught me more about how people live in relative poverty.
