    Shamrock, that little narrative has unnerved me! And Andrew thanks but we dont go out on the scene anymore as we are like a boring middle-aged couple thesedays. Thanks anyway, Im sure we will have a good time. Im going to get some crimbo presents and that!

    Poor buggers and shame on Excel for doing that. I bet the passengers felt like terrorists! I can just imagaine all them poor kids looking forward to their holiday on an aeroplane and then having to go home. I have gone off Excel

    They were on Watchdog this week. Plenty of holidaymakers moaning after being put into grotty apartments. What airline did they use for their charters? At a guess Air Scandic?

    Will it be the 732 in Nov. My boyf has booked us LBA-DUB-LBA. We will stay overnight so we can have a night out. Hes booked a nice hotel to compenstae for me not getting a meal on the plane, haha.

    It will be a first FR flight for me, we will have to wait and see. I am not going to be snobby about it as I am going on a proper holiday next week, so this will be a nice cheapo break for us before crimbo. Pity we not going at the same time LBARulkes, we could end our little feud and become mates maybe, give each other a hug.

    Im a big kid, wonder if that counts! Well, I think I will try them. I wont have any expectations and it will purely be to get on the 732, although we will probably stay overnight and have a booze-up out on the town.

    Thanks. How does the no-seat number thing work. Im not fussy, Ill sit anywhere as long as my boyf can sit next to me ,as I am,after all these years, still quite nervy and like to have whoever I am travelling with next to me.

    Bloody idiots. Are they planning to use the A330 on prime domestic routes like Sydney to Perth, for instance? I think it would be a good idea as them 767s are knackered!

    I had to learn some of the more obscure airport codes and airline designators for various IATA ticketing and fares exams I sat many years ago. There was various decoding and encoding questions. Some are guessable, some are not!

    Its a bit like French verbs, their boring to learn but the only way is to commit them to memory

    I like Air Europa because it was initialy an offshoot of the great Air Europe and I liked them enourmously. I never have taken note of the registration numbers of the aircraft I flew but I do remember some of the ‘names’ given to the aircraft.

    I remember flying on Air Europe 732s in the 80s, one was named ‘Adam’ and one was named ‘Peggy’

    Thats a first for me, been accused of being PC. I am usually rather outspoken and far from PC. However, I take an active interest in West African affairs and would really like to have seen a new Nigerian backed-airline rather than another ‘Branson venture’.

    Whiskey Delta, you may find sympathy for the USA in pretty short supply here in the UK, apart from Tony and his cabinet that is! So Cat Stevens wasnt allowed in to the States but its ok to ship him back to the UK. So much for lloking after your ally.

    I want those MYT DC10-10s. I love them. I want to have them. Please dont scrap them, they are gorgeous.
