    There was none of the above. I am particularly careful now in that regard. As I am not on any serious mind-altering medication, I am to conclude that someone (Scottish perhaps?) has removed them for goodness knows what reason.

    I didnt know he had passed away. I apologise. He wasnt exactly them most frugal politician though was he. At least youve still got Helen Liddell (hate her!) and Malcolm Riffkind (heard he is making a comeback, you lucky people)

    Good read. Glad to hear SN Brussels are still feeding their passengers free of charge, unlike the new Swiss who charge you for your snap. The old Swissair would turn in her grave if she knew about that.

    I prefer the SN Avros to the 319s. I was so impressed with the report, namelt the meal, drink and chocs, I am going to book a flight with them. Maybe a nice city break in Bruxelles for a day or too!

    Very topical. Caledonian is an awfully good name for a Scottish carrier! Lets hope Donald Dewar doesnt get to run it, or Helen Liddell or Malcolm Riffkind or any of the other awful politicians you Scots have had to endure!

    No, but I believe you, re the condition of the aircraft. The beautiful 757 that has given years of sterling service to BA has taken a back seat for the all-singing and dancing A319.320s and soon 321s.

    I remember when they did the same with the poor old Trident in the mid 80s. They let the interior and exterior get pretty tatty as the flavour of the month then was the 732s and 757s.

    I love Air Scandic, they are athird rate charter carrier but proud of it! They have a penchant for operating old bangers and they add some real colour and variety to the charter scene.

    All those 320s ans 321s are getting boring. I loved the Scandic A300s but a DC10 would be even better. Whats next for them, a couple of FR 732s or maybe MYT 757s, better still Travel City Directs 742, Nice!

    I agree an old noisy 1-11 would be ideal and keep them seperate to ‘respectable holidayers’. In flight catering could be a spam salad.

    Funny, you lot be suprised to know Im only 9 stone! I do like my grub though. Maybe we can meet if Im ever in EDI again. Maybe I can go to the states with you next time, eh? Keep you company x (only joking)

    Lord Snowdon couldnt hold a candle to you! You really do like your aircraft dont you? I mean, so do I but not enough to drag me to the airport everyday with an instamatic!

    I think seeing all those planes and people going off places and me stuch on the airport threshold would depress me too much!

    Club 18-30 aand Twenties peassengers would be better suited to Ryanair than TCX. At best Id put them on a 2335 mid-week departure on MYT DC10 bound for Filakraki!! Haha

    It was my partner who was looking at BMIbay fares, not myself! He has to travel regularly to EDI on business and his expenses budgets wont always stretch to Business Class BMI. Also, as I said, if its cheap I go with him and do some shopping, have a day out in EDI.

    I stand by my previous posts, there is no way I would take a no-frills airline for a holiday or anything.

    That was fantastic! I was really touched to get a mention in your report. When I read that I went Oh love him. The photos were great, especially like seeing the food tray. Should I have to visit New York, I will take Continental for sure. Those trays looked really nice!
