The 757 outperforms the 321 at hot and high airfields and operating from airports like GIB.

For a charter operator an all A321 fleet would be restrictive as it would not be able to operate to or from certain smaller airfields.

The route from MAN-GIB does notr warrant a double daily or any increase in frequency. The 757 is the ideal aircraft for the route offering a capacity of 235 and able to operate in and out of the Rock with a full payload.

The A321 can not do the job. Full stop. It is not as versatile as the 757 in what it can do and quite a few charter destinations like the smaller Greek Islands are more suited to the 757.

The reason GB Airways doesnt operate the 321 into GIB is it cant nor can any other operator, so there!

Manx was a proud airline and I was sorry to see them go.

Oh those easy listening tunes being piped through the cabin. The flowery Air Europe seats and the screaming of the Pratt and Whitney 737-200 engines. Oh take me back to those holidays!

That seems an appropriate one for a holiday airline. A good one for MYT would be ‘ its too late baby’ haha

A lot of them do ‘seem’ to be gay. I dont know for certain but the tans and highlights and sqeaky voice give one some clues! There are some pretty boys and girls working as cabin crew though and I couldnt care less about their domestic arrangements. They are pleasing on the eye though!

What a load of tripe! That is the worst justification for charging passengers over a quid for a cup of dishwater I have ever heard!

I hate Eddington for getting shut of Concorde and now he is hell bent on cost-cutting and ailienating his staff in the process. I hope he got paid the same wages as a check-in clerk when he fulfilled that function the other day!

Correct and the 320 doesnt have the required capacity. Looks like Monarch will keep those old 757s awhile longer! Hurray!

Why are all the new airlines no frills airlines. We need some full service carriers!

On a hot day a fully loaded A321 needs more runway than a fully loaded 757, FACT!

You check the schedules, ZB always send the 757 to GIB from MAN, the 321 cant operate in or out with a full load!

It must be really annoying for ZB becasue they are itching to become an all Airbus operator – ha ha ha

We know the awful MYT are getting shut of their 757s and Monarch seem to be showing a liking for the A321 with more and more creeping into their fleet.

It makes me smile than ZB have to either use the small A320 or the 757 on routes from Manchester to Gibraltar due to the A321s inability to operate a full payload from the short runway, something the 757 does manage with ease.

It outperforms the A321 at airports like GIB and LBA every time!

Im glad they kept the name Braathens instead of calling it SAS Norway. Braathens has a proud history and has long been known both in Norway and Europe.

Thats right! They want you to use LGW if you live in the south or MAN if you live in the north. They would really rather not bother flying from the likes of LBA and HUY but the customer wants it. So they make families pay through the nose same as they make them pay during school holidays.

BMI is a quality airline but they do charge high prices from LBA. I travel to Jersey with them sometimes and they sure arent cheap!

    Get off my back LBARules!
