I, for one, am glad that Monarch is keeping hold of the A300-600s. Its nice to have them operating from the UK, I am sick of all the A320s and A321s and also hope Monarch keep their old 757 a little longer!

I was expressing a personal opinion, which I feel it is my right to be able to do but I accept the rules, although I dont agree that my comments were ‘out of line’Certainly I didnt appreciate some barrack room lawyer telling me it was wrong to post an opinion which is all it was and I have read many such opinions under various posts and feel the moderator should apply the rules to all.

I have decided not to post anymore and I intend to stick to that. I am a law-abiding citizen who would never say anything on here unless I could prove it as a fact! what I was doing was expressing an opinion which would not have been in anyway libellous, anyway I will still come on to read the posts and enjoy them, I will just refrain from making any posts. Its the principle.

Like my beloved DanAir, I am no longer!

Keep flying everyone and love to you all

    bye!

That horrible, slimy man! His obsession with cost-cutting borders on the insane.

His airline seems to be all-consuming and I find it more than a bit disturbing. I mean I love aircraft and aviation but I would never allow it or a job to take over my life.

EDITED BY MODERATOR: Please be careful of making personal and libellous remarks about individuals as they may land the forum in trouble.

A brekkie would be fantastic, are LGW bound flights treated the same as the LHR shuttle bound flights? If it is true and Im due a hot breakfast then BA are fantastic!!

A truly obnoxious man! He is far from a gentleman! His attitude towards customer care is the pitts! Passengers are human-beings with feelings. He would do well to remember that. I mean no window shades, its cruelty!

I cannot see why the airlines cant provide a smarter look. Polo shirts would be a happy medium, they are casual but look a little smarter than a thin t-shirt. No one is saying the should employ a fashion designer but smart uniforms create an impression, even supermarket staff have better uniforms than those LCCs.

And I avoid no-frills carriers where possible. The trouble is the are spreading and it is difficult to find a full-service carrier on some routes. I used to make use of BD from EMA but then they switched all the flights to WW. I do sometimes use WW EMA-EDI but with reluctance and if the price isnt too excessive I go LBA-EDI with BD and get a proper service!

I never question the legality, obv I knew that but I was merly pointing out the disparity. BD 49 seat aircraft 2 cabin crew, WW 149 seat aircraft 3 cabin crew! Unbelievable!!

Typical BD quality service and smart uniforms. WW the bare minimum cabin crew and off-white t-shirts, even a polo shirt with a collar would have looked a bit smarter and been just as cheap!

The Trident what a beautiful aircraft, especially the 3B. I think it was so sad they had a premature retirement from BA service. Those stupid noise regulations have been the downfall of the lovely Trident and more recently the gorge BAC1-11. What next my childhood 732s. Why cant people appreciate a noisy Spey, I can!

I didnt mean that it was hot, just resembled a greenhouse from the outside! I just dont like modern buildings like this, with no charcater I prefered Stansted when It was a load of huts and served by AirUK, a quality independant!

Some people actually want full service you know. I mean the airlines say they are responding to public demand. I used to fly ZB quite frequently and they have my e-mail address, never once was I asked my views on whether I thought the dropping of hot meals was a good idea. The airlines claim to carry out research, amongst whom their planning departments?
