I asked my BA friend yesterday about their 747s–yes they also have a toilet in the cockpit.
Nice pics Andrew—poor old Cargo Lion looks so sad sitting there!
VS 624 Port Harcourt always used to come in on a Sun AM@05.40 and went outbound on a Sat at 10.00 am.
A couple of months ago the Port Hs were re scheduled andinstead of going outwards at 11.00 ish Tueand 10.00 ish Sat, it now goes out at 23.30 Mon and Weds and returns at 05.40 weds and Fri .
I think the Sunday entry should have been removed (as its blank every Sun!!!!!)
I was really upset about this change as I used to watch thatflight go out overhead on a Sat and listen as well as I really enjoy seeing it!
Cant help with the others Im afraid!
Allen, thanks for the lovely picture!!Superb as usual!
Andrew, is the pub the Flight Tavern @Charlwood?There must be some good places to spot in that village surely!!!!!!!We are going to visit it this summer and have a look round.
Thanks for the replies chaps!
Looking at LGW departures for today the EK goes to Dubai @14.15 so it was most likely that he saw.
Andrew ,you are so lucky living where you are–Im very jealous!
I had heard this some time ago from my friend who is CC for BA.I expect one of the routes will be Lagos as a lot of xfer passengers were seriously p****d off by the Lagos going to LHR a couple of years ago–they’d come in from Houston on BA into LGW and then have to get to LHR to go onward.
Any idea when this is going to be?I cant wait for the 747 to go back overhead again from LGW!!!
Well done Ian–hopefully it is now going to be like it was a year ago .Very, very well done!
Ren,Those pictures are SUPERB.Thanks for sharing them.
I am ashamed to say that even though I was born in Scotland (Have been in Sussex since I was three)I have never been there on holiday. After seeing those shots I think its time for a visit.
Angus my brother is hoping to move to Mull or somewhere remote next year-hes had enough of Sussex!
Nice to see a plane with the cockpit door open!
I agree with Wys and others.A forum moderator or 2 would be a good idea to remove/edit childish posts and bickering…moderators seem to work well on Pprune and I also spend more time there now than here because of the above.
Postings like Mark Ls and some of the other youngsters, are superb, but there are a minority here that let it down badly.
Oh well Ian,you will be going to Port Harcourt!!
I was thinking yesterday, that as most A340 trips are from LHR (a not having to use the M25 MUST be a bonus) also not having to leave home so early for your shift must be nice!.
Good luck and I look forward to hearing you roar overhead at night on the VS601 or VS 623!
I think you possibly would be happier flying the 747 as you like Boeing’s so much–Vs Im sure wont get rid of the 747s for a long time and as they are possibly going to get 777’s theres that as well.Dont know Ian, but go with whatever makes you happy!
747s go to the lovely caribbeanI know what Id choose!
Possibly why Air Atlanta are putting massive adverts in the local press for cabin crew then!!!
Wondered what they were up to!
It was REACH***Y,which thanks to that helpful list says a TRANSPORTER!Does that narrow it down!EYugoslavia and Italy apparently destination!
Air Tahiti Nui,Air Jamaica and BWIA in my opinion super liveries.T5 I agree…..from happy sunny countries ,trying to spread a little fun in the places where they land!
What a stupid idea that a plane that has landed has to go across a live runway to reach the terminal bldgs.Thank God the MYT Captain was so alert —what if it had been foggy or cloudy and wet………doesnt bear thinking about.
Any pilots that use Manchester regularly ,what are your thoughts about this?
