Thanks fellows, that’s given me some pointers and it looks like Metheringham will hopefully be on the agenda. Relightflynn9 if I make it should I bring some stuff for the BBQ? Thanks again.
Doesn’t look as if “civil aero” has been on since that post he made. Wonder what’s happened?
Has it been repaired after the owners first flight yet………! New pilot needed.
What’s the gen then? hope not too much damage or anyone hurt.
Thanks Mark12, no doubt someone will publish it somewhere, I’ll look out for it. Can’t beat a good Spitfire story.:)
So is this a new Spitfire find then Mark12? and no I won’t ask the usual “will it be at Legends?”, question.:)
Interesting that you found this, as there is an article on this Wildcat in the July EAA Warbirds magazine, infact it’s pictured on the cover.
Thanks for the replies, all I could find out is that it’s channel 4, but don’t know when. Cheers
Thanks Mark12, much appreciated.
The long awaited book on the Indian Air Force Spitfires is imminent I gather.
Mark
Do tell please, haven’t heard of this one. Thanks
Pietenpol Aircamper?
Great thanks for the replies and info guys, much appreciated.
That Sabre canopy vendor will have the child protection/busybodies after him, sealing his kids under perspex!
Anyone for a Chippie cockpit? still too wide to fit through my front door… http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DE-HAVILLAND-CHIPMUNK-T-10-AIRCRAFT-FULL-COCKPIT-RESTORATION-PROJECT-/121372884634?pt=UK_CPV_Aviation_SM&hash=item1c42633e9a
And for the final obligatory moan: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321446025390?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
It is very rare because it is not off that, or any other Spitfire.
What do you reckon it is ian? I must admit that I haven’t a clue as to what it’s off. Anyone else know?
Perhaps we should all chip in and buy it ourselves:D
Thanks for putting that up T.A. Interesting to see and good to see the Storch flying too:cool:
Yes totally agree it needs it’s own thread as not everyone reads “Duxford diary”, or “Fly in a Spitfire”, people tend to look at what catches their eye.
