Save your money and buy a book–a second hand book.
There’s f**k all on how ever many channels you have–there’s no coincidence that organised religion died out with the growth of TV. With TV, those who consider themselves our masters found a much better way of getting their message across than the pulpit ever offered. The message is greed, greed, and more f*cking greed–everyone has to have something–now, today, yesterday–can’t wait..!
I watch less than an hour of TV a week and life is good.
Save your money, the set you want will be half the price in 18 months (or obsolete) and they’ll still be f*ck all to watch.

I agree with what you say Andy, if your happy with what you have, why change it?. L.2 B, must be great fun to take part in, whats the criteria for vehicle entries?.What one has to bear in mind though Andy, is that a new car purchased today, may very well be an addition to your collection one day in the future.

Yes, but I won’t live long enough to see that.
To be eligible for L2B you need a verified (by the VCC) pre-1905 car or trike. That’s why I like the idea of De-Dion or Singer trikes. They’re eligible for both VCC and VMCC events. Whereas the Marot Gardon quad at the collection or the 1900 Singer motorcycle would only be allowed in one or the other.
The 1904 Aurora wouldn’t qualify for either because it’s a racing machine (without brakes) and therefore not street legal by any known standard–and never was.

Andy, Don’t you think it’s about time you “Traded up”?.:highly_amused:. Talk about old bangers.

Jim, I really have about as much interest in modern cars (and bikes) as I do in the performance of washing machines.
I’d like to own something that was London-Brighton run eligible.
it’s a wonderful event and always worth a look.

Same as the one I’ve got–a small Vauxhall people carrier.
    I don’t like cars much–well modern ones.

I’d be looking for a few very early things though. Certainly a De-Dion tricycle and a Singer tricycle–possibly even a Marot Gardon of some description–trike or quad.

    The Hasty Heart.

Not a legal type film but a hospital one.
Look out for Ronald Reagan–and of course Richard Todd.
