I think the Vermillion Pimpernel and his Rearwin Cloudster will be there too.
We must all meet up.
Beer all round?
Andy
I’m going to get there to see her.
It won’t be this year as this year is already fully booked but I will get there.
It’s a truly wonderful piece of workmanship.
Well done to all concerned.
Do I get a beer too?
Later
Andy.
Your memory is going,
That was a Pragmatic.
and it had glass plates. π
now that u mention that, I think we’ve seen u guys, ain’t it ben?
I’ve been drinking several gallons of beer/cyder/whisky in these days, had a fantastic time with Ben, who showed me SO many interesting stuff!! The OW collection is absolutely stunning, I’m looking forward to come there and attend the airshow, it must really be wonderful!!! We’ve been to Sywell too, and I was lucky enuff to see Susy, which is in brilliant shape and eagerly waiting to take back to the air! Ben’s running an awesome museum there, really worth visiting, and the local bar and restaurant are superb!
But the thing that really blew me off saturday was their Beech and T-6, and the Vulcan too was really amazing!!!!
I’ll stop boring u with this guys, u r probably used to this, but trust me, for me it was incredible and I enjoyed every second of my weekend there!!!
Thanks again to u and yr family Ben, I’m back home now but I already miss UK!!!

it’s a pity that you didn’t stop by and say hello.
It would have been good to meet two more forum-ites.
Alex if you’re coming again in the Summer, please let us know in advance so we can meet and buy you a beer.
Cheers
Andy
i wasnt defacing your grand parent, i was talking about the 109!
Thank you for clarifying that Stewart and there’s no need to apologise.
I suppose we can all be sensitive about certain matters.
Sadly you’ll have to get to La Ferte, Stuttgart or somewhere similar for the 109.
Hence why I’m planning to go.
You should give it some serious thought.
A…
not again π π π
Agreed, lets get back on thread.
Yes, I forgot Sweden.
Anyone is welcome to join forum members at any of these.
Although to La Ferte you will need to find your own way there.
Cheers
Andy
PS Mike I love the message beside your avatar. The Zeppelin in question is now residing safely between ‘The German Fighter’ and ‘The Spanish Civil War’.
will she be at legends? π
Are you joking about my ancestors??
The other night Stewart, you were wailing about the memory of your grandfather being defaced because someone made a joke about Legends being cancelled.
Are you saying it’s allright for you to deface mine?
I don’t care what you say about me but lets have one standard.
A…
Could you give me the gist of it `no sprecen zie deutch`
whats your plan. weekend trip on easy jet.
Easy Jet may well be involved in the plan.
I’ll post here when I’ve got a rough plan together.
Before then there’s La Ferte, Old Rhinebeck, Somewhere in Poland and several Old Wardens.
Should be a busy year.
Cheers
Andy
But isn’t it entertaining when he does?
Never a dull moment–as my grandmother used to say! π π π
It’s only a clique when there’s work to be done (such as cleaning at Old Warden), otherwise I think we’ve done rather well with forum participation at events such as Merlins over Malta and Shuttleworth evening displays.
Says the man who travels to another continent to watch BoB at Duxford and have a pint in his favourite pub. π π π π
AIB any details on the Stuttgart trip. Sounds good to me.
benyboy

All comers welcome.
Andy
Funnily enough I’ve never regarded it as a clique just a load of people from this forum who enjoy meeting up to do aviation related stuff. Everyone’s welcome to come along to forum meetings – they’re posted on the forum for all to see and were happening long before I turned up at one.

Clique wasn’t my terminology either. It’s someone else’s idea of what a group of friends with a common interest is.
Sadly they seem unable or unwilling to join us.
Their loss not mine.
Cheers
Andy
ok AiB, no its not mine but loved working with her. thanks to all the restoration team at DX for the 2 best weeks of my life so far, really enjoyed my time with you all.
Stewart,
I’m very glad you put some time in on such a worthwhile project–thanks.
Your efforts will be on show for many years to come.
I’m serious about a trip to Stuttgart.
Anyone???
Andy
im very proud of that mossie!
Is it yours then?
However, If you’re serious about a trip to Stuttgart. PM me and we’ll talk flights, times and where to stay.
Later
A.
PS anyone else????
Can we make the clique bigger? By perhaps getting more people to join in?
My thoughts too.
Trouble is Snapper, it seems no one else wants to come out and play.
Sad really.
