I hate all of it.
I can’t see that 0.00003 seconds worth of real aeroplanes make up for 14 hours of complete sh*t.
Yes, I know it didn’t really last 14 hours (that was Titanic) but it seemed like it did.

On a diffferent ‘off topic’ note a few years ago I was touring the Great war Somme battlefield and I bumped into Prof Richard Holmes, military historian, author and TV presenter (War Walks etc) and over a very pleasant twenty minute chat in a French garden he told me of a meeting he’d had with Mel Gibson at a cocktail party in America.
Prof Holmes tackled Gibson on the glaring innacuracies in films like ‘Braveheart’ and ‘The Patriot’ and Mr Gibson’s response was ‘Well we’re making entertainment not history’. Prof Holmes pointed out that some of the less well educated among us might assume they were viewing fact at which point Gibson got a bit edgy and moved on.
The upshot of this was Prof Holmes made his next series on TV about the War of Independance, blowing away many of the myths of that period of history.

My point after all this is:-
If you can’t be bothered to make a film that sticks to the facts why not just make fantasy anyhow–make a story up?

It is put simply, the worst film ever made and it now gets compared endlessly with Tora, Tora, Tora which lives at the opposite end of the quality spectrum.

Daz, you guessed last week after complimenting me on my ranting ability what I think. I really hate that film. I also hate Titanic, Braveheart and that other load of crap about the War of independance made by Mel Gibson.
This is getting dangerously like a rant again.

there is an early Hurricane restoration to taxiable condition taking place in Cambridgeshire here in the UK.
There’ll be an article in A*r*plane M*nthly (that other magazine) sometime soon.
It will have fabric wings and a two bladed Watts propellor and is a very tidy piece of work.
