    What shade? 😉

USN Haze Gray 5H—-that any good?

Gives a smart pale grey appearance.

I strongly suggest that we start a campaign to have Duxford closed down, on account of the colour of the hangers being incorrect.

    I think that’s a bit drastic Mike.
Why not just demolish all the hangars–It could be done as part of the new Hollywood epic about Billy Fiske.

    Hi Dave
I know nothing about this story but the Yanks supposedly sank an Aussie cruiser at ‘The Canal’–by accident of course but with some loss of life.

I think 2 of the Sri Lanken T2 Balliols still survive.
CA-302 with the Sri Lanken Air Force Museum in Ratmalana and
CA-310 with the recruiting centre in Diyatalawa.
    Hope this helps. 🙂

    Thanks DGH
    Pictures anyone??

    Cheers

But in answer to the original question it is not published as it is not the business of the magazines to do so.

    Hi Melv
I understand that A*r*pl*ne M*nthly will be publishing a full cost analysis of your Rearwin restoration next month.
After all, those little sixpences all add up, don’t you agree.

I imagine you must be quite popular in Naval circles by now.
    All the best
    Andy 🙂 🙂 😉 😉 🙂 🙂

I don’t care as long as they are kind enough to keep letting us see them where they belong.
Flying and not shut up in some p–y museum.

I tend to agree with that sentiment too.

Nor does how much you earn

I expect Companies House could tell you what you need to know.
All limited companies have to publish accounts (and I imagine all these operations are) –you even find out what I used to earn if you cared to look.
    Search their website and see.
Of course, if they’ve any sense they’ll be registered elsewhere.

    This sounds like my life.
Yes I really did miss the Lightnings out of Colt.
    I was 12 in 1974.
The other things were Shackletons at Honington.
    Happy days
    Andy 🙂 🙂 🙂

    Hi
we’re not halfway through this story yet.
He’s got to move it now.
I wonder if he’ll post negative feedback about the seller when it drops to bits.
On a serious note it does grieve me that there’s so much money wasted on no hope projects when more serious projects are starved of funds.

    Hi HP
Well, I’ve been accused here before of cynicism but I’m going to run true to form and say this’ll go the way of all those other countless, V-bomber, Shackleton, Concorde (etc etc) to the skies projects we’ve heard about over the years.
Gives us something to dream about on a wet November Sunday in England I suppose.

The old Horizon doc about the Confeds
    Melv

    Melv
I’m pretty sure that was from ‘The World About Us’ series. Shown on a Sunday evening on BBC2.
If anyone has a copy of this in any format please speak up now.
    It was a great program.
    Cheers
