Never been to Old Warden. People rave about how good it is, so I might have to give it a try.
danohagan
you never know you might become a convert–Go on give it a try.
Andy 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Trio….
Tbirdman.
I really do believe this picture was taken at OW.
You see I have a recollection of where I was standing and who with (my Dad) when it was taken.
I’m pretty sure there was only one pass and then the three split up.
I can’t say I remember the rest of the display.
Also looking at the picture I don’t think the camera equipment I had at the time would have been capable of taking that shot at Mildenhall where with the best will in the World photography was difficult.
Someone else must be able to recall this particular afternoon.
I’m begining to get worried that I imagined the whole day at OW–well there have been a heck of a lot since I first went there in 1971!!!!
What do you think??
Cheers
Andy     🙂 🙂
I remember it clearly as it was that weekend that Mike Searle was cleared in the Spit 14 and I was cleared in the Sea Fury.
Aaaaah………memories of huge petrol reserves at Mildenhall on the Friday for practice purposes.
Are you saying that this only happened at Mildenhall?
You see I’m 99.9% certain I took the picture at Old Warden.
Hence the topside view.
Any ideas.
All the best
Andy
Spitcrazy
I’ve PM’ed you about the picture.
Cheers
Andy 🙂 🙂 🙂
Does this suprise anyone.
Load of multi-millionaires concerned only with their next fat transfer-fee divvy-up.
Good news about that scum from WBA getting six years for taking out an oldie in his £100,000 Merc then running away.
Should have been sixteen IMHO
Agree absolutley!!–Well done for saying.
Andy
Swordfish…
Stringbag.
Cheers for the info.
I’ll see what else I can find to scan in.
Andy
Sept Old Warden…
Hi
I’ll be there along with all the usual suspects I imagine.
Robbo has already confirmed and I think Andrew O.
Got to make the best of as the season finishes early this year at OW.
Cheers
Andy
Firefly…
Hi again
this next one is a montage of three prints.
It’s a Firefly Mk.V. Looks like ex R.A.N. and it looks like Duxford again.
I know nothing else about it.
Anybody???
Cheers
Andy
Five More
Hi
here are five more from Duxford.
Again I haven’t a clue as to the date.
Andy
Nah, her chest isn’t that big . . .
I was thinking more about you and the joke you told me recently about glue making!!!!
Cheers
Andy 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
This is ENGLAND for heaven’s sake, you could catch a cold . . . “
Steady Melv
you might end up having to rub Vics vapour rub into her chest–that’d certainly put Rearwin fly day back a week or two. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 😉 🙂
Andy
Bloody cheek – one of my legs is NOT shorter than the other.
I always thought that was one of your more prominent features!!!!
Andy 😀 😀
Darkness….
You’ve been in the dark way too long Melv.
Are you hangared now??
Andy
PS
That girl looks nothing like Robbo!!
Warm Air..
The notorious Rearwin specialist seems to be having trouble locating the correct location for the carb warm air feed in this shot.
So Robbo you’ve been there too have you??
Andy
This was a truly great day out.
One of the best airshows I’ve been to for ages.
Weather helped of course and all the people I met there–too numerous to mention.
You know who you all are!!!
Thanks to Andrew O for the lift it was nice not to be the driver for a change.
Mr Hanna is truly an artist.
Thanks
Andy
PS Dirty Rearwin photo’s anyone?? 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
