    Paul Rowse.
Would that be the officer photographed being presented with an enormous ‘iron’ cross by Michael Caine. There was a featured in Aeroplane many years ago on the filming. I believe he took off across the runway!

I believe the EU decides on what VAT is charged on ( not the rate.). They have talked about putting it on children’s clothes for example.

Concorde in miniature that lead to the full size carrying 100 passengers cruising at over 1000. Since then aviation has gone backward, with passengers needing 3 hours to clear an airport. The same time as Concorde took to cross the Atlantic…..

So surrounded by busy main roads with the approach going right over one, can we assume that Farnborough will be affected?

In the Daily Mail’s tribute today, it mentions that a memorial service is being planned at Yeovilton.
As it remarks ‘What do you use for a flypast?’

During the Canadian Lanc visit The BBMF Lanc was sitting outside its hangar. The Canadian one was towed by the BBMF crew straight inside. Quite a number of the crowd near me expressed surprise that it went through the doorway.

I would think that as ever insurance will decide on what pilot can fly a certain type. If in future they decide that e.g. A pilot must have flown for 250 hours before being allowed to fly a jet, that is what will happen. It has happened with driving insurance for years.

Several forumites tried via our MPs to get something done through the embassy out there 4 years ago.
All we got were letters saying nothing was found although at the time the bones the Italians had found
were still in the desert. Then the ‘Arab spring’ reached that area. Didn’t stop the P40 recovery though….
