Peter, There is a website/forums called Concorde SST. It has former Concorde engineers etc among its members. Perhaps they can confirm that the photos are 002. This was the first British built prototype and is now at the FAA Yeovilton Museum.
Concorde SST are also providing practical and financial help on the Concorde now at Brooklands Museum. G-BBDG was the near production aircraft that BA bought as a spare and kept at Filton. The website is here: http://www.concordesst.com/

I have a CD with the about the same music as Dave’s tape. It was issued to mark the BoB 50th anniversary. It’s by the Central Band of the RAF. the number is CDM 7941942 DDD and was in the ‘Music for Pleasure series’ by EMI.

Dave, The Swordfish owned by the flight are detailed here.

One is under restoration by BA Systems. There has been a problem with corrosion I believe on the other two that were flying and they are being repaired.
I’m sure someone will be along shortly with the exact details. 🙂

Sorry I thought it was a PR version. 🙂

Perhaps he was wearing noise cancelling headphones. 🙂

If he restarted it the wrong way, the camera ship pilot would have had trouble keeping him in shot. 🙂

A bit of a cop out I know, but it could be simulated with a replica aircraft pointing into butts with the resulting effects from a real firing range session projected onto some sort of screen. Some of the displays in the Farnborough exhibition halls were very life like.

So you were allowed some time off for photography! Excellent. It also reminds us of the work you all put in to keep them flying.
