with some of exceptions, like PAK-FA from Russia, and X-45 bird of pray from the USA, all of the above mentioned designs should drop to their knees in awe and utter appreciation of beauty and supremacy ( I don’t care what you say!) to the 25 year old YF-23!!!!!
Also, who ever approved the X-32 design to be actually built instead of just laughed at for being “UFO” or “unacceptable flying object” should kick themselves in the butt every day for at least ten years straight!
Imagine if X-32 actually won over X-35!!!
sorry, true feelings breaking through.
can we get a similar flagship trio (or at least a duo) photo from other nations or whatever current alliances that will surely be in service in the next 20 years?
nice set!
This is IT as far as the flagship power punch trio goes for the next couple of decades to say the least.
I like it!
Wow, but is it real? How many feet above the runway only this is?? With fuel tanks?!!!
Thanks!
..
Wow, Thanks!!

“It does have weapons. Let people dream a bit and use their fantasy. It also has locations for mounting weapons. It has everything it needs, and even more,” Bariev told Zvezda”
great joke
Wow, thanks TR1!
This is a new color scheme to me. Looks pretty nice to me.
It wold be so nice to see closeup photos of those Mig-23s
I guess its worth asking if any info exists on recent or current upgrades of those birds?
thanks !!
Does anyone know why the double forward pointing nose antennae? This is so unusual looking. Why most planes don’t have it and this prototype needed it.
it always puzzled me.
TR1 I beg to differ
Its amazing how we can see and like things differently ( all of us)
To me, Mig-29UB is one of the most beautiful planes ever just because of the front section. It took me some years to realize that, but its been couple of decades now and I steel think its a true Swan of the skies!. I think my opinion changed after I built plastic model of UB, which was few years after I built single seater A version.
Before, I always felt that Mig-29A was the “male” and the Mig-29UB was sort of like the “female” version of the same species 🙂 Call me crazy…
Then, I saw the piercing power of the shape of UB and now I still get impressed by the line every time I see it.
Mig-29M2 and Mig-35 look very awesome but mainly because of smoother surfaces, and awesome looking clean glass of new canopies. Overall shape and proportions of the front end in relation to the body are somewhat bulky and “juiced up”.
If you put me on the spot to decide which Mig-29/35 version looks best, I will hesitate loooong.
Unfortunately, Serbia is further away from getting any new aircraft than it was couple of years ago when Mig-29M2 was on the table. Due to poor economic state, and catastrophic floods from last year, it will be a miracle if we even get a promised two to three Mi-171 or Upgraded Mi-17 to help in crisis times. I think only six old Mi-8s and a single Mi-17 are currently flying for the entire nation.
first things first.
Macedonian AF!
Have to agree here.. None of the perspective stealth fighter sseems to be single-engined. The thing is that for stealth as we know it you need internal bays. At least two.. But not just some internal bays, but internal bays large enough for bombs. For that, the aircraft needs to grow larger and heavier. To power that you need a big engine.. I mean really big, like 120+kN dry thrust… To feed that engine and maintain useful range you need more fuel, that means larger tanks. Which results in an even larger and heavier aircraft, requiring an even more powerful engine…. This is a death spiral, IMHO..
So, if you’re wise, you put two smaller engines there.. or become a fat underpowered pig…. ehm, I know at least one, if you ask me…
I agree as well with this!.
I don’t agree that Russian’n air force is in trouble in coming years. If anything, good things are coming and they have a decent progress in development and modernization alike. Like many said, the rest of the world is not ahead with progress really, with exception of USAF which spends enormously more $ than everyone else combined while having just as many technical difficulties, and delays.

However, what pisses me off the most is when some here right away call these kinds of threads “possible troll thread” made to start arguments
That’ s ridiculous and close minded assumption that derives from argumentative mentality to begin with. Just because someone is not on the same page with many on this forum, or in currently recognizable trends, does not mean he/she can’t start a thread with opinion which can be true or partially true.
This judgmental attitude unfortunately happens often here by people who feel they are special, and is way more disturbing to dialog than it helps the forum.
I think it’s a fake top. Any other links… I can’t wait for parade..
p.s.
sorry to divert the thread topic even more, but it is KnAAPO’s fault.
Thanks a lot for the video. It tells of a big story in a an almost silent “short film”.
what was the particular occasion. I’m almost 100% sure it was the first of its kind.
