    Not really my thing 🙂

At the moment, Thursday’s weather doesn’t look too bad (touch wood)
Went there Sunday to have a look at possible parking areas. By mistake, we ended up in Jaywick.
Strewth, it was what I imagine it must like driving in downtown Beirut on a bad day.
Keep you windows up and head down, Made worse with my Sat-Nav playing up.

Someone pointed out an article in the Daily Fail to me, which to be quite honest, is possibly libellous.
With a 71year old pilot accusing Andy Hill of undertaking a “Lunatic Manoeuvre” , and calling him a complete lunatic.

    Utterly disgraceful !

The wording of the CAA directive says that restrictions will apply on civilian airfields and event locations. (not over water).
I would take this as meaning any active RAF Base would be exempt, which are usually away from built up areas anyway.
Although I wonder if the RAF might impose it’s own restrictions on older, privately owned jet aircraft ?

Will the “High Energy Manoeuvre” restriction, apply to aircraft flying over water I wonder ?

Edit: Looking at news items, it looks as it doesn’t.

Having videos and photos should make the work of the AAIB that much “easier”.
Having to reply on eye witness accounts is always a bit “hit & miss”. As has been proved in countless
    civilian aircraft crashes.
On the various TV news outlets, they were grabbing anyone they could for eye witness reports.
There was some utter garbage coming out.

Another poignant picture…. It’s turning out to be a bad year for North Weald based aircraft.

Speculation is only natural, we all do it to a greater or lesser extent.
Although in terrible situations like this, most of us manage to keep those thought’s to ourselves.
