Entertaining programme, I wonder how close to the truth it was ?
The Arrow looked to me, like a cross between a TSR-2 and a Fairey Delta 2
A shame a completed aircraft wasn’t kept for a museum.

It’s also a shame that defence programmes of various countries over the years, have been
governed by the wishes of the US government.

What the were unable to comprehend was the reason why a modern roof failed in such a significant way when the century old hangar roofs appeared to be unaffected. .

Maybe on a par with why so many suspension springs break on cars nowadays.

As the chap at my garage said, “They used to be designed to do a specific job, usually to the point of being
“over engineered”. Now they are designed on computers.

…………….. I am guessing it just missed a school full of primary school children as well…………….

No, the captain of the aircraft heroically guided it away from the school 🙂

Whatever the currency the Scots might come up with, (if push comes to shove) it will at last be legal tender.

    More great news.

They just need to get the access road improved, and improve the parking areas to take account of possible/probable wet weather.

Thanks for the replies. It’s a shame there’s not the chance to see one today.
    Apart from videos that is.

I notice that in the Youtube video, it has a military serial No. Was it being trialled as a military aircraft at the time ?

I wish I’d kept my ATC Record of Service Book.
Flights from Colerne in I think 1964.
    The Following year at Chivenor.
Many flights from Cambridge. One being when they were filming the BoB film nearby.

Maybe the English should have a referendum, to decide if we would like to be independent ?

I remember a few years ago when we were visiting Flag Fen, near Peterborough. My GPS told me I was driving along a road
which was only 4ft above sea level. As far as I know it doesn’t flood in that location.

There are some massive “Drains” in the area though.

There always has to be someone to blame in these situations.

It’s easy to forget that at one time, large areas of Somerset were permanently under water.
