Indeed, some fascinating clips on there.

Never met the chap, but I’m sure he has a sense of humour ?

I have a small worry that it will give the impression that to take up private flying you have to be stunningly attractive and incredibly wealthy, whereas we all know that only the first part is true.

    Moggy

It’s certainly an advantage though 🙂

So I take it that this tyre has been positively identified as being from the aircraft in question ?
With no doubts whatsoever, cross your heart and hope to die, last one in the bar buys the drinks 🙂 ?

Nice pictures, and fascinating place to visit. I’ve only been the once, when we were staying in Shropshire for a holiday.

I’m sure this has been asked before but. How far off being in airworthy condition are the Jaguars ?

I’d like to know more about the logistics of the trip.

No doubt she is being sponsored by a TV company, which will show her exploits over several weeks.
With, will she, won’t she, cliff hanging episodes. My guess would be National Geographic ?

    My thought’s on this.
Unless this lump of rubber has been positively identified as being a tyre (not too difficult I know),
being a tyre from an aircraft, being a tyre from a particular aircraft, and being a tyre from an aircraft wreck, I don’t
see the need for the MoD or anyone else to be involved. Not until it is identified anyway.

Would you report finding a car tyre ?

…………. It’s true what they say you can choose your friends but not your Family.

    Geoff.

Something which I have become personally aware of over the last couple of years, leading up to my mother passing away last year.

I’m not that keen on 20/20 myself, but when it’s all that’s on offer……………

England lost by 13 runs …

And we’ll probably be thrashed in the ODIs as well…….

    Very nearly !

Just listening to the first 20-20. England need 89 off 5 overs with four wickets in hand !

The Crown and the original owners/insurers but the Receiver of Wreck is the finder’s agent in the matter.

Doesn’t it make a difference if the find is made above or below the high water mark ?

I must have seen the “Parker Pen” Spitfire episode at least three time now, but I still find it very emotional to watch.

It’s the first time that I’ve seen this thread, and interesting in as much as, not long after my parents moved to Watton, a chap and his wife moved in close to them.
He was with the USAF at Lakenheath, and worked on the F-III safety equipment, which included the escape capsule.
He also had a couple of flights in the F-III
