How many Joe Public are interested in the type of plane they are going to fly on when they book? Not many I would suggest.
Agreed, most wouldn’t even know they type of plane they last flew on.
If you book a package holiday, you don’t really get a choice of aircraft. With long haul flights, the prime concern for most people is cost.
Really good, carry on the good work.
Are the symptoms still there when the engine and all other electronics are turned off ?
Alan,
This was arrivals day. It only costs £5 to park in the viewing area on base. Many people choose to park up in the base and venture outside for alternate views on arrivals. The location at park and view is south facing and problematic with the light. It is a silly place to be. A French Air Force Mirage 2000 took the fence out a number of years ago.
Ah right, I didn’t see that bit. Why is it that with the majority of airshows, you end up taking pictures into the sun ?
Maybe a lot of couples can’t afford to pay nearly £60 to get in.
Then a vast amount of money for a burger or bottle of water ?
As they say, “Money goes to Money”
Anyway, how can he get a Knighthood ?, he isn’t a civil servant or actor. 😀

That might explain why there were a lot of aircraft in the hold over Southend earlier ?
A flight of warbirds heading north over Rayleigh at 2:15pm (six I think)
With Swiss TBM Avenger bringing up the rear.
A pretty comprehensive explanation indeed.
Like many others, I watched the series of programmes on how JPAC work, which was screened a few years ago.
They have I believe the biggest forensic laboratory in the world, so must be under a lot of pressure to come up
with the results that relatives and colleagues expect. Especially as like the rest of the military, they are no doubt
under the threat of budget cut backs.
Maybe the promise that they will get their men back home, is coming back to haunt them ? As in many cases it just
isn’t going to happen.
It did look a “little” low. Well very low actually.
Fascinating indeed. I’ve done a similar thing, albeit on a lot smaller scale, but your pictures tell a story.
Are you looking for UK records, and how detailed ?
This website would give you some leads. Although not detailed, it would give you a point of reference.
There are all sorts of search parameters, aircraft type, pilot name etc.
Not sure how up to date it is ?
For the rest of us, it means half of the number of cars on the road during the rush hours.
