My grandfather was in the Kings Royal Rifles. Wounded twice and taken prisoner.
He hated it when people talked about soldiers “Laying down their lives”, or “Making the ultimate sacrifice”.
No they didnt he would say. They were bloody killed.

I see the England football team have taken Brexit literally.
With Hodgson resigning from the cabinet.

Herr Junker is showing his true colours. Trying to bully the UK into leaving the EU without delay.
All that has happened so far is that we’ve had a referendum. The result now has to go before Parliament, then article 50 to be invoked…
His attitude shows why we are better off out..

A number of good ideas expressed here. There nothing as dispiriting as trying to photograph a cockpit interior
through crazed discoloured perspex. It’s nice to be able to sit in a cockpit, something my wife and I did in a Jet Provost at Cosford.
