From early reports not the normal drugs linked to celebrities – apparently pain killers for a bad hip problem?

As a almost 60yr old I can lay claim to having some Prince albums in my collection. He was a talented musician who changed genres as easily as some might change their shoes.

Prince was apparently treated for a drug overdose 6 days before his death, ok it’s doesn’t say what drug.

We often hear of “personalities” reinventing themselves. I’m never sure quite what this means, or why they do it.
Maybe just to keep themselves in the public eye, a vanity thing ? Who knows ?

If I hear “Purple Rain” one more time………….:mad: 😡 😡

There are a lot of performers who attract large audiences at the O2. In 2016 Muse apparently broke the record for the
biggest concert at the Arena with a crowd of 21,000 people in one night. I can honestly say I’ve never heard of them

I notice this particularly with BBC news presenter Naga Munchetty.

Having Wogan present the contest, was the only thing that made it vaguely watchable.

In my mind, they should go back to the singers having to sing in their own language. Not that I’ve watched it
for god knows how many years.
When Wogan was presenting, it was worth watching just for the scores at the end. It was the only thing
I enjoyed watching him do.

Yet another celebrity drug addict self destructs, and the media goes
way ott in its tributes.
I would guess that if you asked most 20-30 yr olds who their favourite singer
or group was, Prince wouldnt get a mention. Apart from “Purple Rain”, most
would also struggle to name one of his songs.
