I’m from England, am a proud Brit… And I couldn’t give a toss about England. I hate football with a passion, pointless overpaid p*ssies that are more worried about their £2,000 hair cut… Or hair transplant in Potato’s case… It’s quite amusing seeing England lose however and seeing the fans, fully grown adults, whine and cry. That bit is ever so satisfying.

All subjective of course, we all have our interests. But it’s still highly amusing seeing them lose.

Couldn’t have put it better myself 🙂

Personally I support the Netherlands, and have done so since I saw the brilliant Johan Cruyff playing for his country and Ajax.

Interesting programme on Ch4 last night, about match fixing.

Interesting story in the news about Harry Redknapp. Claiming that Tottenham players asked to be excused England duties.

    Why don’t I find this surprising ?

No matter how badly our players do when playing for their country, it will all be forgotten once the new football season
gets underway, and they are playing in front of their adoring fans.

Maybe, maybe not – but when someone posts a thread about a subject only to be told that it is on a thread about Duxford and also on a thread about flights in Spitfires when the incident concerned was not at Duxford nor in a Spitfire… Some should chill a little. Heyho.

One of the problems is, people starting a thread where the title bears little little or no relationship to the subject matter.

Operation Yewtree has certainly had some high profile convictions. Although unless there are more revelations to come,
it doesn’t seem as though they are spreading their net very wide. It only seems to be celebrities they are after ?, or is
it that those are the only ones the media think we should know about ?
What about those within the BBC itself, who knew what was going on, and maybe were themselves involved ?

Little has been said about politicians who were involved with Savile, including an ex-Tory PM who had a thing about
    little boys.

Although didn’t the Russians used to cloud-seed using Silver Iodide.
So as to try and avoid rain at the Red Square parades ?

    Allegedly 🙂

Nice picture. I haven’t seen any noctilucent clouds for a couple of years. We had a period of several days when they were visible from about 11pm. On one occasion going from the horizon to directly overhead.

Just watched “Edge of Tomorrow”, not too bad.

A bit like Universal Soldier meets GroundHog Day 🙂

Bottle or more of red wine
Bacon (as much as you want)
    Pasta (any shape)
    Onion
    Tinned tomato
    Oregano

    Moggy

Sounds like an old Keith Floydd recipe. Regarding the wine that is 🙂

I agree about the Omelette option previously mentioned. Very quick to make.

I do it all online now. They send a reminder, I fill in the readings and get an instant bill. (quarterly)
    Then post a cheque off.

It was interesting how back in the 60s and early 70s, how much got past the BBC Censors.
As a lot of the weird lyrics related to drugs use. Bob Dylan’s Mr Tambourine Man for instance.

That does often seem to be the case doesn’t it ? Or it could be that because they are famous, those are the ones we hear about.
Perhaps it’s the pressure of having to live up to their reputation, always having to improve on their last performance ?

Remember the oohs and aahs when Rolf Harris was first mentioned and his vigorous denials? Where indeed might it end? .

Exactly. There have been many allegations made about Cliff Richard over the years, some quite serious.
He says he knew about these , but chose to ignore them, rather than deny or sue anyone.

You wonder (as with Harris) if this might open the flood gates. You never know though, he could be completely innocent.
I wonder what the police thought they might find ? If there were any incriminating evidence, you would have expected that
to be long gone. Especially after the recent court cases.
