Any missile strike is only as good as the Intel. Can it tell who is in the vehicle, or who is in the building ?
If airstrikes do go ahead, stand by to see pictures of innocent civilians on the evening news.

Heaven help any aircrew who come down, and are captured by ISIL.

Any government’s most important role is the protection of its citizens and the defence of the realm.

There is every, chance that joining in a bombing campaign will have the opposite effect.

As to the RAF bombing – effectively a Tornado could see an ISIS convoy about to cross from Iraq into Syria and do absolutely nothing about it due to verification and getting permission to engage.

It’s absolutely pointless trying to engage a ruthless terrorist group and trying to stick to bizarre rules.

The way I see it is. Cameron is determined to have the RAF play a part in the bombing campaign. Primarily to show Hollande the we stand shoulder to shoulder with him, after the Paris massacres.
What could the RAF bomb though ? If you attack a convoy, you may knock out a couple of vehicles at the most. I doubt the weapons are as accurate as is made out in the sales brochure.
If these weapons are used on (alleged) targets in rural areas, how many civilian casualties do with think are acceptable.
100, 500, more ?… I’m sure there will be journalists on the ground with a child’s shoe in their camera bag.
The result being, more young people being radicalised in the UK, and more chance of an attack on our streets.
