Hi,
£30 thats far less than a ticket to a some rock concerts/festivals, Womad is £50+ for the Saturday, I don’t know about V, or Tea in the park, and of course Glastonbury is far more (if you can even get a ticket).
The Royal Opera is anything between about £25 and £150, I had to pay £35 each to take my girlfriend to the theatre on new years eve. Our local Cinema is £7 for a 2hour film, a reasonable meal in a restraunt is about £20 per head – I could go on, but on this perspective £30 for a full day seems pretty reasonable to me.
Steve.
I bet someone’s been caught doing that by the sky spy…..
Steve.
Hi,
Just some food for thought here; we notice coincidences, but we don’t notice non coincidences.
Steve.
Brilliantly sad! Did any one have the Airfix 1/72 RAF Groundcrew as child? as that included a model trolley acc.
Steve
Congratulations, just proves the individuals can make a huge difference.
Steve.
Concorde – surely the only aircraft that everyone recognises;
I was in Nepal back in 1990, and was told a story about how when Concorde had visited Kathmandu the first time the week before, virtually the whole valley converged on the airport to see her (this might be appocryphal – can anyone confirm or disprove this?)
Steve.
Thanks EN830, pity I can’t afford her,
Steve.
I was working at Johnson-Mathey in Royston when they were filming, and they came over a couple of times a day! Four or Five fortresses in formation is an awesome sight.
Wish I’d known they needed extras though.
Steve.
Hi,
Love the idea of a national charity/fund, but how would the fund be prioritised?
Would it be used to buy ‘at risk’ airframes, resorationprojects or would it be better spent upon hangers to ensure the survival of aircraft or split between the three.
Steve
Looking at it its only got a single fin, so bet bet is a Stirling.
Steve.
Don’t Air Atlantique do survey work ?
Steve
Ok I’m going to set Moggy & Co off – How about the original film version of…..
Buffy the DH Vampire Slayer…..
Runs out of room quickly to avoid being beaten up.
Thanks Damien much appreciated.

Question:
How many swifts survive?
Steve.
I’ll go for Concorde, first aircraft my nephews could recognise!
