Gone up to Camp David a day early to ride out the storm. However, he will, and I quote “Be monitoring the situation carefully….” He seems to avoid being in crisis situations. I would NOT be comforted by having a leader who refuses to face any of the dangers faced by his people.
    .A hurricane? This is your best fking reach to bash Bush. Pretty weak.

    BTW I think the reason flip floping on going to war in Iraq was stupid. Having said that, getting rid of SH was the right thing to do. 12 years of parlor games is enough. Game Over.

    Here is a little hint for you. I don’t bring up Mr. Blair ( I usually say ( AND I SHOULDN’T for the reason mention here ) He’s a strong leader for a socialist ) or the Royal Family ( One post where I was mostly complementary )out of courtesy. ( Something sorely lacking on this forum. ) They belong to you not me. It is your right to criticize them as you see fit. It is interesting that you get all fired up by your biased media in the U.K. and then see fit to pay insult on our president.

    When I did golf photography for a company that supports the U.S Mens and Ladies golf tours: Just about the whole roster for the PGA and LPGA between 96-99 . I can always start a conversation with: “When I stood on the first tee with Greg Norman or (pick one) Tiger Woods, Michelle McGann, Karrie Webb etc 😎

    Various hollywood celebs but there is a difference between meeting them and seeing them 5 feet in front of you when you are taking a photo so I would say that ratio is about 1-10

    Saw Prince Charles close up ( didn’t have the opportunity to talk to him. ( toured RAF Lakenheath to look at F-111s )

    (had I opened my mouth…. it may have gone like this…. )

    When I was at Alconbury in ’85 John Major gave 10 of us from the base a tour of parliment. ( that was when he was a lowly MP) That was really cool.

    I would say they aren’t as interesting as two WWII icons which I have met and talked to: Paul Tibbets and Robert Scott ( from Flying Tigers Fame ) He lives in the area ( in his mid 90’s and still young ) and see him at various functions once in a while.

    The real shame is that most people here dont identify with either party.

    It is hard for the Republican party to look thrifty with the citizens tax dollars when they do moronic things like federalizing baggage inspectors at airports and creating a total waste of spending like the Department of Homeland Security.

    The Dems aren’t much better. Their ideals are socialist in nature. The Declaration of Independence says:

    “…….that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. …..”

    You have the right to the pursuit of happiness. That does not mean that the government hands it out to you for free. No where does it or the constitution mention free health care, free insurance, free medical care…. etc. etc. etc. The dems push socialism. I don’t think that is what our founding fathers wanted. This isn’t the United States of Entitlements. Yet they keep pushing for all that BS. ( for all you Dem history revisionists. Don’t forget that during the Clinton era he started out with an “economic stimulus package” that was nothing more than a bunch of taxes. That got shot down. Just as a lot of stuff from the free health care nazi hillary got shot down. Good thing too. Want that kind of nonsense? Move to Canada.

    BTW for other revisionists. There was no economic boom in the 90s caused by Clinton. All that happened was a lot of over-inflated speculation on companies in the stock market ( many of which didn’t show a profit or their books were cooked ) Investors dumped stocks on unprofitable companies and it ended. After that 9/11 gave the economy a good push down.

    I am affraid I am more libertarian party this time around. Too bad they don’t have the payolla to make a difference. http://www.lp.org

    As for that moron Kerry. He is a liar. What they have to say is not important to me. Obi wan said it best: “The power of the force has a strong influence on the weak minded.”

    This is weird. But the Norway restaurant in the Epcot Center in Disney, Orlando Florida is incredible. Excellent food and atmosphere.
