I think rumour needs to be revisited……

A little birdie has told me that tomorrow is the day we all need to be looking up. It would be wrong for me to tell you who the little bird was but it was…………………:D 😀 😀

Thought you might like to see what I am working on at the moment
It is based around the exploits of the patron to my local Aviation art group Fred Penson who flew mustangs with 213 squadron in Italy and the Balkans, he is an incorrigable old gent who has many a story to tell and a naughty twinkle when there are ladies about, as well as being no mean artist.
He is often to be found proping up the bar surrounded by people as he tells his tales of strafing trains and other ground targets, so Fred thanks for the inspiration

That is a cracking picture Paul. Lets see more of your work please friend.

My latest is a Vixen about to land on Hermes and also working on 3 GR1 Tornado’s in formation and a Buccaneer just taking off.

Will upload them when done 😉

You see, this is what it’s all about for me.

Micheal Elliot of Hawker Hunter Aviation, RAF Scampton has seen said drawing of J4021, which is the flagship of HHA and through request has now got a larger copy of the drawing heading to him for the Headquarters wall.

It is very satisfying when a request like that comes about, as it gives you a sense of acheivment;)

Thanks guys for the kind comments about it.

Turning into a right bunch of artists aren’t we!!:D 😀

I think the forum art gallery is a great idea Rad, but the rate these pictures are cropping up, we’ll not have anything to show:rolleyes:

There is some great artwork here boys. I think this idea needs to be put ahead…NOW!!!

I don’t think I have much choice now Rad do I?:D

I’ve never seen myself as a selling artist really until recently, it was just something I did as a past time and got better at it as the years went on, mind you, I still need to master certain things. Painting with colours is something that I cannot do to save my life!!

Anyway, watch this space cause I’m in the process of another aircraft drawing and I think it will be liked by many.

Off to bed now, just finished a night shift and I’m creamed!!

My buddies at Scampton would love that, nicely displayed in the crew room.

    Excellent piece of art.

PM me the address my friend and I’ll send you a print of it in A3 if you want.

Well I did say I’d do it, so here it is.

This was done like I said for another of the museum members who seemed to like it.

Ok, well I have my usually goings on at the museum today as I’m off work for the week, but when I return home tonight I’ll upload the Jag drawing.

Thanks for the encouraging comments guys and especially my good friend Martin (Phantom Phixer) who has encouraged me more than anyone from the start. 😉

I have recently completed a drawing of a Jaguar for another of the museum members. If you wish to see it, I’ll upload it.

    Thanks

When you say ‘bonces’, I presume you mean portrait head shots. If you really want to know Kev I’ll show you, but this is an aviation site, so don’t think I shall be making a habit of uploading all of them, but I did this of Angelina Jolie nearly two months ago, so yes, I can.;)

In defense of my satisfaction, I did this drawing of a Mosquito last week for a fellow member and good friend of mine from the museum. He served his early years in the RAF on Mozzie’s and when I presented it to him as a gift, he was overwhelmed by it and nearly made him cry.

That was satisfaction enough for me, knowing that he really appreciated what I’d done for him;)

This is an old one of mine. Compare your huge talent (careful!) against my pitiful offering. JOIN THE GUILD!!!!!!

I think that your art is very good in comparison to other paintings I’ve seen. Some can be very dull, but the landscape on this picture is excellent and you can tell the aircraft is a Shack, so thats good enough for me.

I have never worked with colours because I can’t and don’t want to. Drawing with leads and charcoal is something that I’m used too so I’m sticking with it!

I’m, not saying that I’m too good for the GAvA, but I’m happy with the results in which I produce drawing wise and is something I have self taught myself over something like a twenty five year period of drawing. If I start having people tell me that I should do this, this way and that, that way, I would probably not bother doing them again. I have my own style and technique that seems to work for me and from what people have said in the past to me has produced the right results so I think that I will stick with my own methods.

I’m happy doing what I’m doing now.;)

I think judging by the way people have offered to help us with Victoria Lynne, I’m sure the wants list will soon start to appear and I’m sure it will soon start to decrease as parts come flooding in from loving Viscount 35 followers.

Anything to do with Viscounts will I’m sure be of interest to us. Martin is extremely good at putting things into place and with that in mind it won’t be long before this project starts to take shape.

    Thanks for the support folks;)
