Any idea how actual / recent this picture is !! With the no. 144 it’s the same aircraft shown on that Q-5-versions chart I posted some posts before and it looks very different to the proposed Q-5B naval version.

Is this just a radard-testbed, a one-off for a possible update ???? :confused:

nanchang aircraft co is basically fighting for her life,gone were the day when the entire production of Q-5 went into service,right now factory is half empty.

could anyone breakdown the number tanks and vehicles and which version of merkava lost to Hez anti tank missiles?
from what I saw in the news,it seem’s to me most merkava destroyed by ATGM were merkava-1 and some humbee jeep.

Y-8 has bigger cabin space than USN E-2C haweye,but the two picture suppose to show Balance beam cabin was simple to small,slightly smaller than E-2C haweye.
picture probably taken from camera phone,in highly restricted and sensitive such as air force base,it will will consider foolish for anyone to carry camera inside “top secret” aircraft without being haul into interrogation room.

I am not that much impressed with the BMPT; it completely lacks an indirect fire weapon of sufficient calibre and adequate range to combat dug in / hidden ATGM teams at longer ranges.

A TOS-1 is be much nicer, but a bit brutal:

TOS-1 was design for close in bombardment,the rocket was armed thermobolic warhead,I recall in 1994 evening news ,A TOS-1 fired s ingle rocket into Chenchen held village,massive explosion and mushroom cloud appear. the explosive energy is twice the power conventional explosive .

And how exactly can Hezbollah minimise civilian casaulties even if they wanted to? Their only weapon that can strike back at Israel are MLRS that can’t target anything smaller then cities, and there is nothing they can do about the IDF targeting any vehical on the roads.

Do you have any reports to back this up? As far as I can see, Hezbollah have done nothing of the kind. None of the IDF soilders coming back from the fighting spoke of Hezbollah fighters using civilians as human shields, and all the rocket launches footage shown so far have shown them coming out of open fields and never out of urban areas.

How about their humanity? :rolleyes: Not to speak of international laws which are not voided no matter what your opponent does.

If you think that just because ‘the other side’ behaves atrotiously gives you a green light to do the same, then I pity you. 🙁

The west has been sitting nice and cosy on its high peddistal for 50 years telling the arabs to ‘live with it’, wonder how many more years of bloodshed will finally make them realise that things as it is simply unacceptable. And before you start, past negotionations have shown that the state of Israel can exist in the ME in peace with all its neighbours if only Israel was willing to make some painful decisions. It wasn’t, and instead everyone must now suffer a different kind of pain.

You want lasting peace? Get BOTH sides to make meaningful concessions. But thats not going to happen as long as Israel still beleives it can get everything it wants through military power.

Israel and lebanon has no diplomatic relation,technically they still at war,and hez by crossing in israel to killed 2 and kidnap 2 israel soldier was an act of war.
in israel eye,to exchange 4 israel soldiers with 1000 palestinian prisoner(lot of them was suicide bomber wanna-be)will be a total disaster.where’s the choice?

seem ironic,John McCain ( and other neo con)denounced Russian tactic during the battle for Grozny,(satelite photo show before and after) same tactic later use by US army during the battle for Fullujah and israel invasion of lebanon.
