Let me guess…..

They asked you to open event viewer and asked could you see anything with a red circle and a white cross through it? Means nothing in real terms on your average home PC, but they tell you it is a virus and they need to connect to wipe it.

I had it a few weeks ago with the person claiming they had been sent my details by my internet provider. Given I work in IT and was a bit bored I thought I would have some fun 😀

After 15 minutes of going nowhere (“just let me try that, I wil be right back” whilst putting the washing on then going to make lunch and cuppa 🙂 ) he was getting very angry with me (mission accomplished!! :D) so I asked him who my internet provider was? After a few seconds pause he hung up 😀

So he got nothing from me other than a bill for a 15 minute international call. I cant stop them calling but I can at least hurt them in the pocket!

Well as this Shack is never going to move again under its own power how about donating some much needed parts to WR963 to get the port inner fired up!

But they arent missing any parts? Just trying to find the right people to correctly build the props up for them from memory.

Are you sure the Brit was G-ALRX?

Been a while since I read up on Brits, but thought RX was kept by Bristols as some sort of training aid which subsequently passed to the RAF? Certainly the cockpit is still with us!
