According to Wrecks & Relics, both are BAPC registered:
BAPC.201 ex Talysarn. Fuselage, rudder, wing spars. Modded u/c (sic)
BAPC.286 ex St.Athan, ‘local area’. Scott A2S
It also states that the ex St.Athan one is the one on display and under restoration to taxiable condition, so I guess you have BAPC.201.Andy
Interesting…..
So what happened to the rudder and wing spars???? It is documented that the u/c went on BAPC.286 but not the other bits.
Also reminds me I really need to get a new copy of W&R!

Hi Jon keep us posted. Will this be a part-time thing for you? Have you come up with a full plan of attack?
Well there is the ongoing sourcing of missing and replacement parts plus the continual quest to secure funds! However for the restoration it is going to be a stop start sort of plan for now.
We are chomping at the bit to get started but for now are concentrating on the Brit. There is nothing Brit related that I can work on at home (cant stand having an empty workbench!) so went and got a car full of Prince stuff. 😀
I have another trip planned before the new year to attempted to extract the main wheels from the concrete tyres as have some brand new tyres arriving soon! Its not every day you can say you are doing a tyre change with an angle grinder is it
As for repairing the fuselage the guys at Millom have VERY kindly offered us space in their workshops for around 6 months. With winter halting our work (well externally at least) on Charlie Fox for now I am hoping we can arrange a few weekends at Millom to get the work done. If we can achieve that it then means we can bring her back to Speke later next next as a compelete airframe again which would be a fantastic achievement!
Thats about it for now!
Jon
Mods,
Would you be good enough to close this thread and direct folks to the new restoration progress thread please 🙂

find some rich investors the museum will close for good on the 16/12/2007.do any of you know anyone who could help?if so call the museum asap.
Wish I did…… 🙁
Sorry,
Jon
Did someone mention my name? 😉
It’s a project I wish I had 😀
Some pictures I took when we moved Prince G-AMLZ recently (29th September). Quality is a bit dodgy on one pic but will suffice 🙂
Jon
My commiserations and best wishes to all the hard workers at the jetstream-club. Thanks for showing me around on my recent visit.
Makes you wonder what satisfaction it gives to people who attack and try to destroy things which can’t bite back and give lots of pleasure to the rest of us.
Hope the Rapide soon recovers.
Wicked Willip :diablo:
Oh she will its just very annoying having to repair some morons handywork…… Takes away time from working on the Brit etc
Trust you will make trips to Speke a frequent part of your jaunt up north 😉
Jon
Ok I am out of my depth now… 😀

RJX-85 G-ORJX E2376 last flew in January 2002. It has been parked at Woodford since then with engines removed. The Customer training Centre uses it for parts of its training syllabus.
RJX-100 G-IRJX E3378 last flew a test flight in January 2002 then flew on 6/2/03 to Manchester airport for preservation. I have the dubious distinction of being on both the first and last flights of E3378.
RJX-100 E3391 flown as G-6-391 last flew in January 2002 as well after only 4 flights and was broken up.
The ATP prototype set 1 is in a sorry state at Woodford.
The Jetstream 61 prototype G-JLXI was set 64 and was broken up in 1997
Apologies for mixing my names. I did mean G-MATP the ATP prototype.
Jon
How about the J61 prototype – is that still knocking around? Only ask as we were talking about it at Speke the other day and no one knew what its ultimate fate was/is.
Jon
Check this thread – should answer your question 😉

We have been given copies of the orginal adverts for Prince G-AMLZ dating from the late 50’s iirc. All nice bits of history to have 🙂
Jon
Well its not Britannia or Sea Hawk as I have one of each and they look nothing like it! 😀
I just drooled a little… nice work fella’s !!
One day at Speke hey 😉
