George I can’t believe you are actually putting an effort to talk to these people. If they want to believe their ting-jing-bing airforce is as good as IAF, good luck to them. Stop wasting your time. So have they even figured out how many hours the Su pilots get in china, let me guess 45 on Su, 65 on J-7 and 100 on k-8 or cessna :))

Last I heard F-22a was 258 million per jet. No way F-22 is going for 100 million, thats what the americans charged for the crappy F-15K’s.

    Accodring to FAS,

    India
    Flying Hours: 180+

    China
    Flight Hours: H-6 80; J-7 and J-8 130; Su-27/Su-30 180

    Try again

180 hours is for mig-21 kiddos. The Su-30 and mirages are on the 240-300 hour schedule.

IN is ordering 2 mistral class LPD’s. So why not a couple of LPH in the next 6-7 years.

PLAAF pilots are trained to Indian standards is a ridiculous statement. So how many’s Su’s have they crashed yet? If like Mirage-3 says 100 hours is the average norm then yes no Indian is ever going to worry about chinese AF.

IN could look into using it as a helicopter carrier with slight modifications, but it all depends on how much it would cost. I don’t think age is an issue, invincible is 25 years old i believe while the hermes is going strong at 50.

100 hours is too less. I always assumed an average mig-21 pilot gets about 180 hours at the minimum in IAF.

The first pic does show a heli on the helipad. I assume it means that kashins can still carry ka-28’s

Great so I guess the last two kashins will have 16 brahmos each. Would the older three only have 8 ? IS it possible to requip other capital ships like delhi or godavari’s with brahmos?

Star49, stop talking nonsense. Iran has neither the trained manpower nor the money to spend as muh as russia or china. Their IRBM’s are in no way even comparable to the ICBM’s that russia had 3-4 decades ago. The very fact that they had to acquire some parts from pakistan which are old rip offs of the 60’s nuke design from china tells us that they aren’t all that advanced in the field. They are trying to develop independently but the nonsense you just mentioned is beyond crap.

No rajputs can only take 8 brahmos, which would increase the damage they can inflict. I believe the ranvir and ranvijay will get 8 vls brahmos while the older three can get 8 inclined brahmos box launchers. I wonder if there are any plans to equip the godavari’s with brahmos?
