First production PAK FAs in 2013 will incorporate all systems for integration and training, until mass prod starts. The prototypes at the moment will not incorporate them (radar and such) as there is no necessity to do so.

Than the radar should be testing at another airframe! I remember that the NIIP officials were planning to start flying tests of the SH121 AESA radar mid 2010. So if the program going according the schedule it should be flying now.And the bird is probably a variat of the Tu-134. If they want to put the final product on the PAK-FA

Those are L-bands for the su-35, shown at MAKS I think. The su-35 acts like a test and trainig platform for the T-50.

Is there any info will the second prototype get the AESA onboard or some electro optical stuff? Or the biggest reason of the delay increasing the rigidity of the airframe for the weapons load?

around 4:54-55 he says abt the ability to see thru floor. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for video quadbike ๐Ÿ™‚ But for daily conditions i still support one piece canopy because of its free view angle:rolleyes:

May be not under visible light, but in the case of the F 35 the HMD will show you whats directly under your seat even. The point is not losing track of enemy fighters who are blindspotted by the Canopt frame and the F 35 HMD can do that as well.

    :diablo:

Hope to see it in a video! Which system creates the image for the pilot? Radar, sensors or camera?

Yes, at least the one for F-35 does all of them.

I mean HMD doesn’t have an ability such showing the back of the objects! Such the metal section of two pieces canopy ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m not fussed about the single piece canopy. It is heavy, and in the age of helmet mounted display it no longer offers much advantage.

Does HMD increase your view angle or informs you about necessary flight informations and for firing the weapons?

The goszakaz website published a tender for new single piece canopy over a year ago if my memory isnt playing tricks. The current canopy will not be what we see on production machines.

Exactly yes:D Even we had seen the tender conditions;) Hope we see it on the bird…

If you can get it off the shelf why not? ๐Ÿ™‚
Also the third country supplier does not need to provide the same canopy, well they can’t due to ITAR and IP issues but they can use a modified process to make the canopy…

There was a F-22 thread on this forum where we discussed the F-22 canopy in great detail…

But J-20 seems like have the same canopy with the F-22. So in my opinion the supplier doesn’t want to annoy Lockheed Martin;) The most important part of creating one piece canopy should be its durability! And also its composition, design and the manufacturing technology must be the other most important parts! But later treatments can be done by time when you get a finished canopy! So in my opinion same manufacturer is not very sensible for today;)

There is no evidence to suggest that the US and China have not bought the canopy from a third country..

Hmm a good approach:D But one canopy for all “stealth” fighters is not a good idea for me:)

Its clear that two pieces canopy effects the viewpoint of the pilot in a air combat! So it will be big suprise for me if it doesn’t get a single piece canopy…

You are right, you are not an expert.

X2 :D:D It remembers me Mig-31, Mig 1.44 and a long F-35! As a whole its good but not seems like a fighter to me:rolleyes:

    edit: seems fake…

Agreed, both PAK-FA and the F-22 pictures every details are clear but on J-20 pictures nothing clear! In my opinion its impossible that all pictures photoshopped and we couldn’t see the weapons bay at none of them! Still I couldn’t see anything about the bays on the ultra extra perfect finished body of the bird!!

I’ve created a BW version and cranked the contrast to a high level. There seems to be a panel of some form at the marked locations. But it is not possible to say what function it serves.

There is just two lines and they are also not clearly visible. There are too many pictures there isn’t ant sight of an weapons bay!
