In my opinion Japanese goverment shouldn’t get deeply downgraded, ultra expensive F-22 Raptors.Thats better to get F-35 and push for their own 5th gen. aircraft project.And also if Japan goverment doesn’t accept that price and if US officials doesn’t want to shut down the F-22 production line they need to sell the aircraft at a normal price!
I hope Mr. Pogosyan doesn’t says at Maks-2009 “we plan the first flight of the pak-fa in mid 2010 or 2011” Than the pak-fa saga finishes for me:)Because after 2010 comes 2011 than 2012…..
it wont fly this year ,for sure ,about next well see. and when it fly it will be liek freak ,engine of 117s SU-35 class ,no working radar ,stripped of everything. canseling mig 1.41,42,43,44,45. project set industry 10 years behind. remember pogo the drunk promised flight in 2007 ,at first. people have short memorieas. look at tjis thread its episode 8. and still no sign of fighter.

Its sure PAK-FA is a future project and they want to sell Su-35 at Maks 2009 like SSJ100 at Le Bourget. But a PAK-FA demonstration flight can show the world, the capacity of the Russian aircraft industry!!

I’m sure MiG have been busy ‘developing’ multiple different designs (and probably Sukhoi too, and maybe Yakovlev never quite gave up on the Yak-43). The problem is that there’s absolutely no evidence that there is (nor logic for there to be) any money to ever make them a reality for the foreseeable future.
Im completely agree with you.And in my opinion Mig and Yak corporation doesn’t have advanced equipment to create a fifth gen. aircraft.Their production facilities (especially Mikoyan) needs modernisation and they need to get new equipments for creation of such aircrafts.But now UAC has preperations for integration Sukhoi and Mig corporation started with Pogosyan.But in my opinion it’s not a good desicion for the future.After sharing their intellectual sources and Mikoyan company gets stronger it happens better to leave them.At last years Sukhoi company got lots of money for the development of the 5th gen. aircraft and they learned too much from this aircraft about stealth,avionics and weapons…And its beneficial if they share their information.By this way in the future Im sure we can see an advanced light fifth gen. fighter too from Mig.Sure if they have enough money:)

Will it be an official presentation or are we going to get a single grainy photo of it taking off? (I’m secretly hoping for the latter)
In my opinion if it flies at the anniversary that happens an official presentation and just state tv channels takes video and photos and they share with the public!
I hope we can see it in July and can get good pictures of the aircraft.And also I wonder the cockpit of the aircraft especially side control stick or central control stick…
