In that case someone would have told us that it was a dissapointment,…….I think.

IMHO the silence indicates that there is something going on that needs to be kept quiet.
We’ll wait and see. :diablo:

Hi John,
Yes, the DC-2 imported from Oz is still with the Dutch Dakota Association but there are no plans to restore her I was told by a volunteer. It has been in store since it was acquired.
Pity, but here is of course the airworthy DC-2.

😮 😮 😮
If you check out the following site http://www.spitfirespares.com in the controls part he shows a very similar set and he states they are from a Handly Page Hastings.

Although it looks similar to Canberra pedals, they are not.
I agree with Harold and think they are Hastings as well.

Didn’t have the Fairey Gannet similar canopies?
Just a hunch.

It would be nice to be able to show up at one of those meets and meet the lot of you. Seems like it is always fun.
It will happen I’m sure of it. 😎

uh, definitely a curved one!! Well then, we’d better change the title of the topic into “where’s this canopy from??” 😀
Alex
It smells like MK12’s favourite aircraft type

Hi Merlin,
Why not, people with an opinion will usually never change it for some reason. But by being open about what is done in the field of aviation archeology a clearer picture is available.
It wouldn’t stop me from providing information, although the situation in the UK is different compared to the Dutch situation (but not totally, as there are issues over here as well).

Cees.
Can you please keep an eye out for the same type of suction changeover unit that I need for my panel?
Peter,
These things are extremely rare. Mine came from Australia and was fitted in a Beaufighter originally. If I ever come across another one I would snap it up immediately as it is very much sought after.
