Well that was sure fire attention getting headline… I mean I know newspapers world wide are having a tough go these days with declining circulations and revenues but …this is a bit much ! Much thanks from across the big pond….. a brave group of men in 617 SQ for sure. Totally forgot this key WW II date .with all the current events we are seeing in the world today , its so important to remember that time and what this raid ment to Britain & PM Churchill who was I believe in the states making a speech befor both houses of congress !!! Brave men…great sadness WC Gibson did not survive the war & those lost on this raid today !

Wonderful photos from Mt Farm….those men did a wonderful jod during the war… I believe this is where WC Adrian Warburton flew his last mission from. Wonderful photos Scott……….. BlueNoser352 ( Bodney 8th FG) says thanks for sharing here. Hopefully this program will make it on Youtube or the dvd market! Maybe US History channel ?????????? Lets hope…

A salute to US Special Forces !

Much props to those US Special Forces who executed a brilliant military action last night in the taking down of sheer evil …Bin Laden is dead … NAVY SEALS in action ………. prayers that the US had no one hurt in the read … had to blow up one bird . Plus no locals were hurt in the raid . Folks who serve in the special forces …SAS, Navy Seals are special people ..hard relentless training pays off in missions like this . Adapt on the fly and improvise under the stress of combat ! Wow..some weekend of aciton of all sorts… Royal Wedding …great flypast over the palace and now this…. unreal. A salute to the good guys for getting the job done !

Well what a morning it is here in the USA……… the forces of good took down one evil man last night ……..NAVY SEALS much like your outstanding SAS took out some major evil last night and thanks for the note on Bodney … I am sure the spirits who reside there welcomed that unique sound of the Merlin soaring overhead of that patch of ground so special to many of us who know its history ! Haven’t been to Bodney since the early 90’s. I had hoped that the 352nd FG would try and restore the tower ..but guess the cost would be to great ! Nice to hear this pilot payed those who flew from there many years ago in tribute !!!! Hope all is well in your world Sir!! Wow what a weekend …..

Great site today over THe Mall !!!

Ok…from the colonies….. wonderful ceremony today..like millions of others from around the globe watched in full wonderfu HD…… so glad the RAF BBM flight was part of the ceremony….a real tribute to that generation that gave us all the freedom to watch this wedding. Your nation does pomp & ceremony like no other. What a great site to see & hear today as the BBM flight flew over the masses with those lovely Merlins humming along !!!! Wish they could have put up about 25 Spits & Hurricanes flying down from Duxford in a massive FLYPAST to salute the newly wed couple………. the bride looked stunning & all the best to them. I salute the prince for his service as well as his younger brother ! Great history made today… all the best to them !

Wonderful to see the lovely care and attention these birds get…. nice that the RAF has a program to care and maintaiin these historical gifts to the nation . Not sure if the USAF or US Navy have such a program . They need to if they don’t ! Of course it would be required that all the P-51’s be painted in 352nd markings ! Great shots…thanks for sharing !

Amiens Prison Raid Movie

Some darn good suggestions here for sure….but what material is ready for some good director & writer to craft a great story on this amazing chapter of history from WW II ! No need to change anything history wise…just the tick of the clock on these French underground people about to be executed by the Germans ………… and the quick action of the RAF to come up with some amazing low level bombing tatics to free them from prison ! Having been there last summer and seeing the prison for myself up close ..what an amazing feat of airmen ship by the RAF!!
