So far all I have seen here in the states is season one of the NBC TV series, sure to be more to come I would hope.

Is the tower at Bodney still standing ?

Anybody been or driven by the old 352nd Fighter base at Bodney latley?
Sure hope the control tower is still standing. Home of the “BlueNosers” …had hope one day there might be a move within the veterans group to restore the tower but that would take deep pockets. Haven’t been there since 98…hope to get back soon just to see what is still remains ! Sad to see such places fade away and history forgotten. Lots of drama and heartbreak in such places around the old bases from the WW II days ! Websites and forums like this do help to ensure their memory will not be forgotten ! Any reports on Bodney are welcomed ….thanks !

Russ….thanks for the review and I ordered a dvd last night…looking forward to seeing it. Heck anytime you can hear that lovely Merlin and see a Spit in flight with a Hurricane..that is pretty good !

Robert Rudhall Battle of Britain Book !

I noted the mention of the late Robert Rudhall’s book “The Battle of Britain movie book. I bought one years ago at Duxford and sadly it got misplaced, is this fine book still published? I noted the “VICTORY BOOKS”. I was hoping someone would offer another printing of this fine work on the movie. Sorry to learn of his passing a few years back, he sent me some nice answers to questions I had about the film. Anyone know where of if I can still get a copy?

Spitfire Ace !

Maybe try the Channel Four webiste …since they originated the program and may have links to the series production company that did the documentary. Its now one of my favorites and glad it was shown here in the USA. Not sure if it has ever been released for sale yet ? Super series indeed !

Just a real master painting and very well done Sir, enjoyed your audio visual touch to the history of the print and the voice of Bill Lyons to go with it. Ever do any 352nd Blue Nose Fighter Group Mustangs in your collection ? Very nice !

Amiens Prison raid

Noted the talk here a few days ago about the DamBusters film and hoped someday the great story of the 1944 raid on Amiens prison by RAF Mossies could find its way onto the silver screen. Its a great story and with a solid script and sticking to the real story this could make for one tremendous film. Would love to see Operation Jericho story developed make it on the silver screen and of course we could see and hear those wonderful Merlins in aciton ! With todays computers one can now assemble WW II aircraft for the film !

Mossie at North Weald

Found this link to another fine display of a Mossie at North Weald, if any aircraft deserves to be flying in the skies over the UK now is a Mossie. Think I ‘ll go and just watch 633 Squardon and turn up the speakers ! Great flying display by this pilot ! Youube is becoming a great site to view aircraft videos !

Great and good to see you on the forum, yes the 100th has many great names and aircraft to choose from. Still love this one from the 401st!!!

Great looking A-2 at Air Force Museum !

Let’s try this again…here are several photo’s of a great looking A-2 on display now at the USAF museum in Dayton, Ohio here in the USA! One panel gives us some information about the man..who painted the jacket himself. Flew in Liberators with the Eighth during the war ! Super looking jacket. Hope this works !
