Typhoons go hunting in Normandy !

Unreal use of air power to the max !!!! I forgot Typhoons were used on the escort mission to bomb the French jail at Aimens ,France. Huge power plant up front in that fighter. I hope that new documentary will give those brave pilots who operated them in Normandy & their ground crews their day in the sun…they deserve it for sure !

Stunning Print…Typhoons rip’em up in Normandy

Hope to add this Uk based artist print to my collection…what a stunning print, rich in detail. Typhoons did a rock solid job for the Allies for sure. Sad there is not one flying today. With cannons & rockets …like a battleship with wings tearing up the Germans on those narrow tree lined Norman roads .

Its called ‘Bottle Neck ” by Gareth Hector….. there is so much detail in this print. “Jabos” was often yelled by German retreating forces in Normandy. Its likely in real history …these guys got hit again and again by Thunderbolts & more Typhoons. I’ve talked to many US Normandy vets here over the years about this constant round the clock straffing and bombing of retreating German forces ….unreal they would say…the ground just rocked
& shook by the bombing ! Chewed up metal for miles !!!!

I know for sure the BlueNosers were up several times or more that day…putting those six Ma Duces to proper use ..on June 6th 1944 !

Anyone have this marvelous detailed art print hanging on your wall…. its a Typhoon ripping up a German convoy….such detail in this print . One of those I had to order when I saw it on at http://www.eHanger.com .
Have to move over some of my BlueNoser P-51 prints for this one !!!!
