WW you are obviously being trolled. This entire line of reasoning is silly at best.
if continuous curvature was not as good as 30 year old signals management tactics then the USAF would still fly around in F-117 like platforms. It is obvious from the F-35s design that stealth takes precedent over every thing else. So if a purely faceted surface is better, then the F-35 would have it. Why fool with facets when you can have a better signature + aerodynamics in the same package. this is silly!
This is a very common misconception. Continuous curvature design is ALWAYS a bad idea but you need that for aerodynamics, unfortunately.
Actually even the F-117 was going to have smoother curves until the AF said we like the radar signature leave it like it is.

F-35 JSF infrared sensor tracks rocket launch
That’s not true in all cases. E.g. the APG-77(V)1 which is a direct use of technology developed for the F-35 and retrofitted to the F-22.
And anyway, let’s see an F-35 with a full, working, debugged avionics and sensor suite before we start waxing poetic about retrofitting that entire architecture into an F-22. Clearly, if we’re going to restart the F-22 production line in a post-2012 moment of lucidity, then we should do it right and develop an F-22C with an up to date architecture. That doesn’t necessarily mean the F-35’s one is the way to go.
Dont shoot the messenger. This is flight globals quote.
Turkey confirms 2011 F-35 orders. 100 planned.

I wonder at this point why the United states gives 1 billion in military aid to Egypt when there best ally struggles. A foreign military aid package would work wonders for the British.
Take it easy.
In a few years, half of the european airforces will fly the F35. And many of them will spend weeks on french air bases during TLP, tiger meets and many other nato or non nato trainings.
So half a dozen of british F-35 on the Charles de Gaulle in 2020 will make no difference. If I were you I would me be more concerned about the jsf sold to Israel
Edited for whining
Maybe the French could become small diameter bomb customers?
Would a mechanical array in a VLo fighter compromise its stealth? When you say swash plate that’s still mechanical right?
because its difficult to make a aircraft stay in the air 24 hours ( with the exception of air refueling) and super cruise. Even if you use air refueling your using a lot of tankers. High speed and loiter don’t mix well unless your a B-1

I for 1 cannot wait to see the euro-fighter versus the Su series aircraft.
It will finally prove who made the correct design choices. canard versus TV.
Who has the better radar and tactics. I am giddy
How big is the F-35C compared to the Rafale and the harrier?
will it be a tight fit? has anyone compared it to super Hornet?
Do you ever see the French getting in on the U.S. market by integrating weapons on U.S. systems? For instance F-35 getting Mica capability or LCS getting a french designed missile?
You cant talk military sharing of bases and facilities without some measure of tech exposure. You don’t see my side?
The F-18 would not be a industrial or military coup of information like a F-35 would.
I was simply bringing up the issue of tech security with the F-35 aboard french ships. this is perfectly on topic. it only went out in left field when fan-boys got there panties in a bunch because I educated them on past U.S. policy.
