    I bought a 40″ Sony Bravia LCD …….. WOW !!!

Thanks for that. A lot of people are swearing by the Sony kit.

The Mrs has been squirreling a few quid away for this very purpose so whereas I would normally go for ASDA’s own brand or similar, I can afford a Sony / Panasonic.

Never mind the type of telly, Old Shape. You need to buy some nice big speakers so you can listen to Britain’s Got Talent in all its true glory. 😀

    Paul

…that was the next diversion of this thread, “Which” 5.1 system.
My 6 year old watches Britains got talent. It’s aimed at his age.
I just drool over Amanda Holdem.

I did see that woman-thing, best described as an unfortunate collection of features. With the voice of an Angel.

I’ve heard the new tech: OLED, is the way forward 😉

Yes, me too. But I don’t want to be the prototype tester, at the top of the supply-demand curve paying 6 times the worth of the product just to be “The first”. Only to find that you’ve been the market tester and they don’t care if it breaks because version 2 is already planned for launch in 6 months.
Does that sound negative? Sheesh, truth is a killer. LoL.

Hmm… Abba. Very well written pop with some superb bass lines!

As far as Tiesto is concerned, I appreciate the guys ability, I just don’t like what he does. 😉

    Paul

Saw Abba in 1976..7? at the Manchester Apollo.

Oh, and a bone to pick with PMN (And myself). I forgot that Tiesto is also a composer…not just a mixer/producer. He wrote most of the stuff for his opening ceremony gig at the 2004 Olympic games. And lots of his own stuff appears on his (So far) 48 albums. And I have them all. Plus, I download his weekly radio show and if I like it I disc it.

I have all Pink Floyd, Who, Genesis and a plethora of other stuff ranging from Classics to Sex Pistols, via ABBA.

And do you like your Martini shaken and not stirred???

    By the pint!

    Here’s another one.
For 4.5 years I have had a LCD flat screen on the PC. I got it cheap, no box no instructions.
I assumed that the USB connectors on the side were broken, hence the £15 price.
This week, I found out that a USB-B cable needs to be put into the goddam thing! D’oh!
Done it, sorted. Cable was £4.95…….2 easy access USB ports and 2 more underneath out of sight.

You know when you open a tin of Red kidney beans, into a sieve? Then pour fresh water through them to rinse?
Well I opened the tin into the sieve.

It’s just a shame I wasn’t near the sink at the time.

Nor was I at home! I was at a friends house and I offered to cook!
