You know when you open a tin of Red kidney beans, into a sieve? Then pour fresh water through them to rinse?
Well I opened the tin into the sieve.

It’s just a shame I wasn’t near the sink at the time.

Nor was I at home! I was at a friends house and I offered to cook!

Have also seen the film and found it very entertaining. Don’t forget there are a whole generation of people who have not seen the original series and will not be able to compare it to that. Character depiction is pretty good and captures a younger Enterprise crew very well. Who knows it may lead to a rejuvination and more films (2 more planned i think?) The film fills a gap in the Star Trek chronology coming after Enterprise but before the original series where the crew were already well established. Nice touch to have Chris Pike in there as well as this relates to the original series.

Yep, I started watching it before we got a colour telly! Gawd I feel old now.

It takes all kinds. I heard that some people pay to listen to the cacophonious grating din known as comic opera. I can take a real opera, Carmen or similar….but Gillo and Sully, sheesh.

    Nice set.

Do you happen to know why the Libyan flight was in? i.e. what it was carrying in or out?

Am new to this forum, and would love to know if anyone is remotely close to my top three!

    So without further ado:

    1) Convair Coronado 990: Wouldnt look out of place as a long range bomber. Wish I’d seen and heard one of these in action.

    2) Vickers VC-10: Classic ‘British’ lines. If it looks good, it flys good.

    3) Lockheed Tristar: Proof wide bodies can actually look good.

Need to make it 4. Your 3 but with perhaps Concorde at #1.

I don’t care who the drivers are, so long as they don’t stack the metalwork on the crowds watching them.

At least they have people playing instruments. 😉

    Paul

    “Playing”!!
    I get your point though.

We could debate that a mixing rig and an electronic box is also an instrument…in as much as Photoshop is part of Photography.

As for Tiesto, in the trance music world he is undoubtably the best mixer/DJ/entertainer/producer.
