And what on Earth is wrong with targetting the Hamas leader? Damn fine shot! He’s a terrorist that target people only, the scum of the Earth and there is no room for them to breathe good air. (1)
The people killed by Israel or any other military unit are not intended because these days, (a) There are rules (b) it is a complete waste of a very expensive munition. LGB is circa $300k each. Free fall Irons are about $25-50k.
The scum hide amongst their own people. The scum are picked out and targetted. It is up to the people to reject the hiding place.

(1) Terrorists that target specific Governments are slightly less in the scum ratings, after all they are aiming to kill politicians. Gut Fawkes being a prime good early example.

Generally that means that killing a citizen who is HAMAS voter is ‘less evil’ or ‘smaller loss’ than killing a citizen who is an Israeli supporter, do I understand it correctly?

Civilians aside, because we and Israel try to avoid hitting civilians – it’s a waste of expensive munitions for a start – but when it comes to fighting against a people with a belief that their own death means some sort of higher recognition with their imaginary god, then yes. Life is cheap to them, they lay it down with no 2nd thought for who they take with them. Yes, it is a smaller loss. And yes, I have spent many years working with and amongst these people, and in a similar vain in India, their(1) belief in life is actually quite insulting to the western values. (1) Not all of course, but the radicals that cause the trouble.

If the Israelis can’t defeat Hezbollah, they may have a better chance to defeat the much weaker Hamas.

The Hezbollah incident was an embarassment that will not happen again. As I said, world pressure weakened Israel at the time.

Does it take Syria to join in? If so, the sooner the better.
