………….None of this makes the photo particularly dignified…but with MJ, that wasn’t the point.
The point was to be noticed and covered in the media.
Watch out what you ask for…you might get it…😀

    Correct.
And the point of the photograph was to make what, $50,000 for selling it. Probably more.
I would take the picture and sell it to the highest bidder, I’m sure others would.
But like you said, if it was ordinary Joe in an air crash that hadn’t courted media then I wouldn’t take the picture of the body.
However, I snapped away like a possessed Flickr at Fairford 94 when the Ruskies clipped and crashed. And had I not walked all the way back to may car (Up agin the rope at the other end of the runway..in the days when you could park agin the rope) then my shots would have been magic. I had a 500mm lens on at the time and I was disapointed not to get a good sellable shot.

Ha! That’s the second post of yours in the last 5 minutes that’s made me laugh out loud! 😀

    Paul

Well, it rained. There were 6 or 7 droplets on my bedroom window this morning. But it’s been another scorcher. I love it, but I also like a Green Garden.

Hmm… Lesson learned. Don’t try drive an empty train through a tornado!

    Paul

Traction unit stopped on track. The Rounded truck meant less wind force acting on it. Only the empty flatsiders went walkies.

I was hoping it was a real Tonka though, a sort of Top Gear race.

I understand all creatures have their place on the planet; I understand that very, very well and that’s a point I’ve made several times in several different threads in my time on these forums, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be respected. You’ve kind of proven my point in a way; mistreatment of animals, working or otherwise, is neglect. That’s been my point since the start of this thread!

Just to bring a slightly lighter side to this thread, don’t you think Dogs Die In Hot Cars sounds like it should be a 16 year old punk band?!

    Paul

P.S. Your Grandad would be a man who had my respect for thinking like that. 🙂

    Yes. I’ve done this before.
Yonks ago, “The lads” were sat watching TV on Saturday evening, in prep for a night out on the pull etc. The pilot episode of wossitsname, beach thing with the Hoff….anyway, there was a line in there which for some reason only I picked up. When I told the lads that I’d found a name for their band they were over the Moon. They were crap, got nowhere but were called “Multiple victims caught in a riptide” 😀

This could be the first 787 story to mention ‘all composite’ and ‘wooden’ in the same report. Hey now, didn’t the De Havilland Mosquito do rarther well for itself, fashioned from trees…?:D

Aah, but those designers knew what they were doing with a material they fully understood. They also made one of the most attractive aeroplanes ever fashioned.

Everyone on here knows 100% more than Joe Public when it comes to aeroplanes. Of course we know this practice is safe. Sheesh, even the CofG fuel mgt system shifts more weight around than a stack of talking baggage.
Now put yourself in the eyes of Mr Joe public. His wife and kids are about to get on an aeroplane. In his eyes, with aeroplanes, problems usually mean death. There’s no lay-by at 35k.
Nowthen, a locked luggage door. Means problems with luggage door. The Paris DC-10 had luggage door problems. Get the picture?

Can’t blame the passengers. Mis-communication on behalf of some tin-pot airline also doesn’t help.
