If that’s right then it’s great news! :D:D:D
Very nice work Mr. Carr, had I figured it was you I’d have come said hello!
Some more of mine, first the Hurri. I lied, I got a shot on my phone.
Some I took when I went out Sunday morning to check on the jets.Lindy on her QRA pad
The ‘rod
Canberra and Herald. Rushed shot, hence the ‘downhillness’
Lightning and friends
Progress on the two DH’s

And the F8 Meatbox again
Outside again, series IIB FC Landy
Nothing there, honest…
And the mighty AEC Matador.
Pagen I’ll get some photos of the Pathfinder this weekend, just for you 🙂
Not so sure about Elvington as the long-term future of the runway is presumably questionable at best?
Oh I wouldn’t be so sure 😉 as to moving Lindy, I’m happy with her where she is, within walking distance and visible from the front door thankyou! Back to Vulcan matters, personally I intend to make the most of whatever flying time she has left. Because this time it really would be ‘that’s all folks’ 🙁
Elvington keeps it’s victor outside, and it’s still in good running order 🙂
Indeed, but it takes us one hell of a lot of work to keep her that way! The best thing would be for 558 to be retired to somewhere where she’s hangared yet has a runway to stretch her legs on. Finningley sounds good to me!
Great and varied shots. Happy memories of the Vigilant there. We had that JP in at Elvington on Saturday, and very nice she is too! 🙂
And a bit of a gripe… about Flypast magazine’s article on Airbase.
“Shackleton MR2 WR683?” “by the time these words are read it will have its final propeller in place and all four engines should be running.”
Come on guys, does it take much to look at your own forum?
Don’t worry, they called Lindy ‘Lusty Linda‘ a couple of months ago! 😮
She looks great guys, a credit to you all 🙂
The jets (and NM’s beloved Herald :diablo:) should all be coming back into the museum today. So normal service should be resumed next Sunday. We’ll have some odd jobs to do on Lindy, and probably have electrical power, lights etc. on at some point during the day 🙂
I got some, will share tomorrow.
Edit: Thread now up. I’ve a few more MV shots Scott
Hurricane, Jet Provost, Yak, Cub, Chinook and Sea King over Elvington at various times yesterday 🙂
Hope it resolves itself soon. If not there’s always Ben! :diablo:
My swear of the day? The news that the MG suddenly needs a kingpin for the MOT now too… 🙁

Another classic American transport’s nose!

A few beat her to it, Lindy and the Lightning for starters!
Nice bit of film though, cheers for sharing Peter:)
Nice to see the Victor getting resurrected! And sad to see Pagen’s photo with the nose supported on one of the fuselage tanks during demolition. 🙁
…Possibly the only fixed wing with a shorter takeoff run than a Storch?!
