Good news Anna. Better than the news many families will be recieving. We’re still waiting to hear about a friend’s daughter…
And I think if you chaps are going to, ahem, donate to the Victor fund you should actually come see her! :diablo:

Well for a teenager with, no doubt, other things on your mind that is a neat bit of modelling.:) Whereas I look ancient but don’t feel it…..;)

Aye, thoughts turning to them there females, motors and things 😉 But still time for the odd decent build. Usually too busy with a full size aircraft to build much nowadays! But when my next project turns up (hint, hint) I may do a work in progress thread on here…

…And it’s probably best not to feel it SH, you may get arrested ;):D

I have the A6M from this range too, I was given it the same time as the 109. Sadly it’s missing quite a few bits so I’ll probably build it as a ‘found in the jungle’ diorama…

Sure is! 😮 edit- I should’ve known, the hemp 57’s had a version of the unit badge on the fin, rather than that earlier marking. Doh!

at 30 this year I’m not exactly ancient! :p Just thinking, the 36 will actually be 14 years old… God I feel ancient now!

Does your collection go back to boyhood modelling or only in more recent years?

A couple have survived from then but most are builds from within the last 10 years. That said the 36 will be about 12 years old I reckon… 😮

Sadly I don’t have any pics of the Strat to hand. They do take some space up- sadly if/when I have to downsize I suspect they’ll be among the first for the chop 🙁

Thanks SH. This should give you a better idea of the size of the beastie:

    When it dwarfs a 135, a KC97 and a Halifax you know it’s hefty!

Nope it’s kosher! A few of us want her back in green/grey but she wouldn’t be Lindy then, so that’ll not be happening 🙁
Sorry for the thread hijack 😮

Her First Gulf War noseart. Most of the Victors involved were given nose art and names of the crew chiefs’ wives/girlfriends.

Seafire and T-28 came last year for the Wings and Wheels weekend, as did the wing walkers, a Harvard and various other goodies. Can’t quite remember, as it was a busy but cracking weekend from my point of view! (Nothing to do with getting a run in the Victor on the Saturday, oh no…:D)

The Thunder Days are when we fast taxy Lindy and Kim, and slow speed demo the Bucc, serviceability permitting.

Then there’s the monthly anti-det engines and systems runs. Static, but probably the closest you’ll get to these types while running!

I too miss the airshows, I’m not sure what’s planned for this year, not much I suspect due to the current economic climate 🙁

As to the other matter, not as yet. Politics and all that… A few things have changed recently, I’ll pm you after I’ve seen the ‘lie of the land’ this weekend. Remind me Friday…

    Thankyou critter592.
As you know, the fuselage and wings screw together, but mine I glued too, belt and braces and all that. Everything on mine was glued with the standard Humbrol Poly I use with absolutely no problems. Unless the Stuka’s made from a different plastic you’ve nothing to worry about 🙂

Sky High, just for you, the 1:72 B-36:

Not my best build, it’s a few years old now. But Benyboy’s seen that model ‘in the plastic’ and can vouch for the sheer size of it!

SH there are times my girlfriend probably wouldn’t disagree with what you say about Lindy! 😉
JT442, in theory that photo should be pre-86, as 57 disbanded in june of that year. Depends how swift they were (or weren’t!) at repainting the squadron badge…
