    3rd October 2010

Well, not a lot to report due to the severe rain conditions on Sunday. I just thought I’d put up a post partly to show you guys just how bad it was, and partly to remind everyone again (wonder where I got that idea?!) that servicability permitting we’re running the jets on 17th October…
We did have a proper look round the Buccaneer, as a couple of us may be involved with that as well as Lindy in the near future, so we went through the BF checks, a first for me on that machine.
There were a couple of jobs to do on the Victor too, but rain well and truly stopped play. Indeed we ran and hid in the Nimrod (sorry Mick for dripping rainwater on your nice clean floor :o) and, looking out of the door, at one point we fully expected to see a passing submarine. Indeed, we were wondering at one point if the dinghy was still fitted…

Sorry for possibly being a thicket but what if anything does that serial signify? Best of luck getting her running again!

Think it was grass with a hard peri track and hardstandings. I’m only going off the top of my head, what I can remember from reading a book about Scampton a couple of months back

Lunacy is their business! I’m just thinking they might be able to offer you some useful advice re. transmission, mounting the engine, getting the power down etc…
