Good. Go earn beer money. 🙂
Though I might just stand you feed from a decent chippy, none of that Sullivans merde…

Will be adding some from yesterday soon. I’ll share a couple of yesterday’s here, including one for you former tanker types of in the bomb bay, and one of a chap who really should NEVER be allowed to loiter near an unattended Houchin…!
No she’s all locked up safe from light fingers PP.
The Halifax was perfectly visible yesterday…
We have a Herald too, do come see us, make it a Sunday when us 231 crew are about. If you can let us know beforehand when you’re looking to visit we’ll make sure we’re there to show you our baby 🙂
An MOD working party has been, reclaiming bits off the Nimrod. Not pikeys don’t worry!
Tina is XM715 if that helps 🙂
Oh yes. Actually quite therapeutic sat on the bomb bay tanks listening to the rain drumming on the roof!
Yep externally the Maid looks fine. One of our chaps thought there may be an aerial or 2 missing but I don’t know the aircraft well enough to say for sure.
19/09/2010 update
Well what a washout!
Today was just grey wet and ‘orrible, and not a massive amount achieved. In the quest to solve the Artouste electrical problem, Ollie and I had to go ferreting in the bomb bay to check the fuse boxes, a less than easy task as I’m sure those who’ve done it will be able to testify! All were fine, just got a check and clean-up, so after a run of the Artouste, just to check we hadn’t magically cured it and make at least some noise, we’ve come to the conclusion that after the Thunder run (17TH OCTOBER) we’ll have to drop the Artouste and swap the alternator. All other avenues have been explored, so we’re reckoning that’s got to be it sadly. I got to do a bit more lockwiring while in the bomb bay, just a bit of housekeeping on a loose shroud on one of the pipes, nothing exciting.
Thought was given to re-packing one of our chutes for the Thunder day too, we extracted the better one from stores and gave it a dose of looking at but decided we really didn’t have time sadly.
So there you have this week’s instalment. Sven or someone will have to update you next week, as I’m off down to Duxford.
Hope their Victor’s not locked, as I may take screwdrivers…! :diablo:
Wasn’t much fun today in the rain. Although a V-bomber makes a nice umbrella!
^^^ Brilliant! Laviticus I take my hat off to you! 😀
