A bit of sunshine to replace the recent gloom then?
Aye, reckon so Mike 🙂
Chinook in at Dishforth, making the usual flock of Lynx look very small! 🙂
Very sad news indeed. I really hope these wonderful machines all find good homes.

thankyou tfctops, that’s kind of the point I was trying to make in my ham-fisted way earlier. This thread is, or should be, about acknowledging the Bomber Command guys who were lost doing their duty, not about being hijacked into yet another debate about the rights and wrongs of area bombing.
You mean quiet without the scapegoat there to answer back? His absence hasn’t stopped the blaming ;).
Good to have you back (though may be away).
You could be right, not been the same without his splutters of indignation every time the Finger of Blame points toward him! 😉
Nice shots from Brunty by the way 🙂
I feel this memorial to the 55,000-odd bomber crew killed should be built, to recognise their bravery. My great-uncle (ironically enough given the name of the poster a couple of posts back) was a 50sqn. Wop/Ag, and killed with his whole crew during the Battle of the Ruhr. The more research I do into him and his crew, and what they went through, the more respect I have for them and all the bomber boys.
Build the memorial Boris.
Looking really good Rich. You’ll be wearing your softest brothel-creepers to walk on that wing from now on then?! Good work 🙂
I’ve been mulling over the thread topic and I am happy to suggest my nomination for Number One coolest car of all time.
Quality, I really can’t argue. I still have my Dad’s Dinky model Bentley Blower from when he was a kid on my shelf 🙂

B@stard pattern MG parts made, I believe, from Wensleydale cheese. The part (a u/j) has cost me enough for Christ’s sake, some use out of it would be nice before it cried enough. But oh no, it surrendered during the fitting process… 🙁

Anything from the golden era of American Muscle cars does for me, be it Mopar, Ford….
Oh and my little MGB. Even though she’s currently slightly poorly… 🙁
